The passes vary geographically to include railroads across the United States as well as from the late 1850s through the 1970's. The collection has been developed by donations from individuals who believed the passes had relevance to railroads and railroading. Scope and Contents The CSRM Passes collection consists of railroad passes that were used by railroad employees and their families to travel for free. The passes vary geographically to include railroads from across the United States as well as from the late 1850's through the 1970's. Many of the passes are labeled the names of employees as well as their family members who are entitled to the usage of the pass.

Metro needs more of them. The next obvious one is an east-west line along Eglinton, Sheppard or Finch Avenues—If politicians show a bit of nerve and build fixed rail transit into thinly populated areas, experience has shown these soon become thickly populated areas.

Its western terminus, Shelby, connects to the Marias Pass route DLC from Dovetail Games, thus completing the entire Hi-Line Subdivision from Whitefish to Havre in Train Simulator. History The Hi-Line subdivision is part of BNSF's busy northern transcontinental mainline (Chicago-Seattle). It was originally built in the late 19th century by James J. Hill's Great Northern Railway (GN) and is the northernmost of the transcontinental railroads in the United States. The building of the Great Northern mainline brought a settlement boom to the plains of Montana, many of the small towns and villages along what is today called the Hi-Line subdivision where established during or shortly after the construction of the railroad. Havre and Shelby, the two end points of this route, were important junction points on the Great Northern. At Havre, a secondary mainline, routed through the beautiful upper Missouri canyon, branched off towards Great Falls, MT, an important traffic hub in the GN network. That line no longer exists today, only two short branch lines from Havre to Big Sandy in the north and from Great Falls to Fort Benton in the south remain in (very infrequent) service.
