Important Dates to Remember: What a fantastic fall we have been enjoying so far. The weather keeps surprising and so do our amazing November students. We are continually experiencing a great start Nov. 5 (M) – Last day for Neufeld Farms orders to the school year and our kids are doing a great job of Nov. 7 (W) – Remembrance Day Assembly, 12:45 pm being STARs. Keeping Safe, Trustworthy, Accountable Nov. 9 (F) – No School and Respectful behaviours at the forefront of our Nov. 12 (M) – Remembrance Day, No School Nov. 16 (F) – Last chance to order Alice Brown Spirit Wear actions each and every day. December month called the Celebration of Learning (COL), where Dec. 4 (T) – Celebration of Learning Assembly, 9:00 am we recognize and celebrate students for their Dec. 8 (S) – Craft Fair and Breakfast with Santa individual successes. We all learn in different ways and Dec. 14 (F) – Report cards available on parent portal at different paces, so our successes should be Dec. 19 (W) – Christmas Concert, 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm measured individually. The Hallowe’en Zoo A Historic Trip to Fort Langley

This year the Alice Brown Staff dressed up in animal Our grade 6 and 7 students travelled to Fort Langley’s onesies and enjoyed a day ‘monkeying’ around the Centennial Museum and Cemetery for a day of school. Our school spirit shined with our costume parade exploration and learning. In two groups they took tours showing so many creative and amazing costumes. Thanks of both sites and experienced a historic trip into Langley’s to all of our students who participated in both the and the lower mainland’s origins. costume parade and pumpkin carving competition.

Nautical Engineers

Our Kindergarten students did a scientific discovery by creating boats and used our wonderful weather to learn how to design boats that are water-resistant and durable. Boy, did the weather make this a wonderful event! Great job little scientists!

Fire Truck Pickup

One of our grade 4 students received a ‘fire’d up ride to the school today, when the City of Langley’s fire department picked him up in a firetruck. Thank you to our wonderful firefighters for taking the time to make this day special and for always being there to support our community and keeping us safe.

School Spirit Wear Thanks again to all of our parents who continually assist our school with the countless hours in our Book Fair Please make sure to find the attached spirit wear fundraiser, driving to fieldtrips, supporting our information. You can pay online for socks, t-shirts, assemblies and many other things so far this year. We sweatshirts. We can’t wait to see our school spirit shine also have our Remembrance Day assembly coming up through the halls of Alice Brown Elementary! They this week on Wednesday at 12:45 pm. SCHOOL SUPPLY FEES For a few families who have missed the deadline of September 30th to pay the school fee(s), a notice was sent home yesterday. We realize that the month of September is a very busy and expensive time of the year for families and we will work together with you to ease the financial burden.
