Kata Kunci: Studi Perbandingan, Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd, Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL), Pendidikan Dasar Kurikulum 2013 adalah kurikulum yang digunakan di Indonesia saat ini. Kurikulum tersebut terus mengalami revisi hingga tahun 2017 lalu. Sistem Student- Centered Learning (SCL) adalah sistem pendidikan yang diusungnya. Sistem atau metode tersebut seiring berjalannya waktu juga mulai diaplikasikan oleh guru. Metode tersebut menjadikan murid sebagai pusat pembelajaran. Masalah muncul ketika guru memanfaatkan metode SCL untuk bermalas-malasan. Anak didik juga kurang disiplin akibat dari guru yang kurang bersikap keras. Guru yang memanjakan anak didiknya dengan berbagai fasilitas yang disediakan dan guru yang hanya menasehati secara lembut tanpa adanya tindikan nonverbal yang berujung pada mulai hilangnya keikhlasan dalam menjalankan pekerjaan sebagai guru. Student-Centered Learning (SCL) bertolak belakang dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru yang merupakan sistem pendidikan konvensional. Metode pembelajaran konvensional telah dicontohkan oleh ulama Islam terdahulu melalui kitab-kitabnya. Salah satunya adalah pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dengan kitabnya Hilyah Thalibil Ilmi. Penelitian ini membandingkan antara pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dengan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas tujuan kajian penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk Mendiskripsikan persamaan dan perbedaan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). (2) Mendiskripsikan kelebihan dan kekurangan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). (3) Mendeskripsikan Implementasi dari Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) terhadap Pendidikan Dasar Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis kajian pustaka (library research). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan bertumpu pada data-data kepustakaan, yaitu dengan mengkaji buku Terjemah Hilyah Thalibil Ilmi dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) melalui metode deskriptif analitis, content analysis atau analisis isi, dan metode historis, kemudian dibandingkan antara keduanya dengan studi komparasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa: (1) Persamaan dan perbedaan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) dari segi metode pembelajaran, pendidik, dan anak didik. (2) Kelebihan dan kekurangan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd terletak pada kemanfaatannya bagi peserta didik. (3) Implementasi dari Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) terhadap Pendidikan Dasar adalah dengan menggabungkan kelebihan dari keduanya menitik beratkan pada relasi yang baik antara guru dengan peserta didik melalui progam pendidikan Student Teacher Aesthetic Role- sharing (STAR). vi BAB I PENDAHULUAN A. Latar Belakang Masalah Pendidikan pada zaman dahulu dengan sekarang sudah mengalami perubahan yang signifikan. Seiring dengan terjadinya era reformasi sebagai akibat dari kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan serta tuntutan masyarakat akan sebuah suasana yang lebih demokratis, adil, dan, penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia, maka berbagai komponen pendidikan mengalami perubahan.1 Hal tersebut ditandai dengan adanya perbedaan sudut pandang, sistem pendidikan, perilaku guru, dan perilaku murid. Kurikulum 2013 adalah kurikulum yang digunakan di Indonesia saat ini. Kurikulum tersebut terus mengalami revisi hingga tahun 2017 lalu. Sistem Student-Centered Learning (SCL) adalah sistem pendidikan yang diusungnya. Sistem atau metode tersebut seiring berjalannya waktu juga mulai diaplikasikan oleh guru. Metode tersebut menjadikan murid sebagai pusat pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, murid mendapatkan kesempatan dan ruang untuk membangun pengetahuannya, memperoleh pengetahuan yang mendalam, mengasah kemampuan berorganisasi, hingga mendapatkan kesempatan menjadi public speaker di depan kelas. Student-Centered Learning (SCL) atau pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa bertolak belakang dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru yang merupakan sistem pendidikan konvensional. Sistem mengajar guru konvensional bersifat satu arah. Guru menjadi pusat pembelajaran tanpa aktif melibatkan muridnya. Guru konvensional adalah orang yang disegani di lingkungannya. Guru berperan sebagai panutan, seorang yang tahu banyak hal, dan yang mengajarkan dengan tanpa pamrih. 1 Abuddin Nata, Perspektif Islam Tentang Strategi Pembelajaran (Jakarta: Kencana, 2014), 2. 1 2 Berbeda halnya dengan guru pada zaman sekarang, guru hanya sebagai fasilitator yang cenderung untuk mengikuti keinginan dan kemauan anak. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar anak bersemangat untuk belajar. Masalah muncul ketika guru memanfaatkan metode SCL untuk bermalas-malasan. Anak didik juga kurang disiplin akibat dari guru yang kurang bersikap keras. Guru yang memanjakan anak didiknya dengan berbagai fasilitas yang disediakan dan guru yang hanya menasehati secara lembut tanpa adanya tindikan nonverbal. Kemudian keikhlasan dalam menjalankan pekerjaan sebagai guru adalah landasan dari keberhasilan.2 Seorang guru profesional haruslah memiliki niat yang baik dan ikhlas dalam menjalani profesinya. Guru harus ikhlas dalam memberikan bimbingan kepada para siswanya sepanjang waktu dan di manapun ia berada. Fenomena ini yang kini hilang dari sistem pendidikan nasional kita. Metode pembelajaran konvensional adalah metode pembelajaran tradisional atau disebut juga dengan metode ceramah, karena sejak dulu metode ini telah dipergunakan sebagai alat komunikasi lisan antara guru dengan anak didik dalam proses belajar dan pembelajaran.3 Metode pembelajaran konvensional telah dicontohkan oleh ulama Islam terdahulu melalui kitab-kitabnya. Salah satunya adalah pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dengan kitabnya Hilyah Thalibil Ilmi. Di Indonesia pendidikan formal utamanya dibagi dalam beberapa jenjang yaiu pendidikan dasar, pendidikan menengah, dan pendidikan tinggi. Pendidikan dasar mempengaruhi jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya yang merupakan sebuah lanjutan dan kesinambungan. Ini menjadikan pendidikan dasar sebagai acuan sebelum melangkah ke jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Hal tersebutlah yang melatar belakangi peneliti mengambil judul “Konsep Pendidikan dalam Studi Perbandingan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) serta Implementasinya terhadap Pendidikan Dasar”. B. Rumusan Masalah Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah di atas, maka rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Bagaimana persamaan dan perbedaan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL)? 2. Bagaimana kelebihan dan kekurangan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL)? 3. Bagaimanakah Implementasi dari Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) terhadap Pendidikan Dasar? C. Tujuan Penelitian Dengan acuan rumusan masalah, adapun tujuan kajian penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1. Mendiskripsikan persamaan dan perbedaan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). 2. Mendiskripsikan kelebihan dan kekurangan Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). 3. Mendeskripsikan Implementasi dari Pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL) terhadap Pendidikan Dasar. 4 D. Manfaat Penelitian Adapun kegunaan atau manfaat hasil kajian ini, ialah ditinjau secara teoritis dan praktis. Dengan demikian, kajian ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan manfaat berikut ini. 1. Secara Teoritis Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi khazanah pendidikan, khususnya tentang konsep pendidikan pemikiran Shaykh Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd dan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning (SCL). 2. Secara Praktis Harapan selanjutnya, kajian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi kepada: a. Pihak yang relevan dengan penelitian ini, sehingga dapat untuk dijadikan referensi, ataupun perbandingan kajian yang dapat dipergunakan lebih lanjut dalam

Celso Professor, Department of Security Studies, Angelo State University Abstract: The August 2016 killing of Abu Muhammad al-Adnani in a U.S. drone attack is an important step in degrading the Islamic State (IS). His symbolic and strategic importance as a propagandist and as an overseer of the caliphate's external terror operations cannot be doubted. Adnani was in the forefront in exhorting and directing IS operations to kill Westerners. The Paris, Brussels, Munich, San Bernardino, Orlando and Nice attacks can be linked to his impressive oratorical and organizational abilities. Adnani’s September 2014 audio address urged IS supporters in North America and Europe to kill Westerners by any means possible. Adnani’s propaganda express a Salafi-jihadist world view composed of three core principles al-wala’ al- bara’, jihad and takfir. Every believer who is incapable of engaging in ijtihad, is required to choose among the group of available mujtahid, and follow the jurist’s interpretation and judgment in all matters of law. This ‘emulation of another in matters of law’ is called taqlid. In return, believers are obligated to pay a religious tax to the jurist, where the proceeds are primarily used for the development of religious institutions and the funding of social services. In a rational choice framework, we analyze the interpretation of religious scripture as a public good problem. The emergence of taqlid imitation of the work of former scholars by later scholars was a major turning point in Islamic history. It created two classes of scholars, those who referred to the primary sources of the Shariah (the early scholars), and those that did not (the later scholars). This Paper focuses on the Conceptual exposition of Taqlid among contemporary Nigerian Muslims, particularly the paper gave emphasis on ijtihad, which is the main instrument of interpreting the Divine message and relating it to the necessities of the Muslim community in its aspirations to attain justice, salvation and truth.

Those who raise it fear that the hard-won human rights enjoyed by many citizens of Western democracies will be lost if Muslims are integrated into their societies. It is also easy for the concern about Islam’s capacity and inclination for human rights and democratic values to be characterised as a ‘clash of civilisations’. Thus, the issue of Islam and democracy is part of a global or larger contestation affecting nation states and political and religious stripes. Based on Islam’s authoritative sources, this book speaks about this global ferment by demonstrating that the political agendas promoting democracy and human values can be grounded in the Qur’an and the life of the Prophet. By exposing on Islamic politics of human rights and democracy grounded in the Qur’an, it demonstrates Islam’s compatibility with liberal democracy and its values in the realm of government and law, with special focus on what is already established concerning the political and sociological propensities upon which the democratic attitude towards the self – and the attitude towards the other – are based and regarding the assets upon which the democratic system in any society depends.
