Sex and Aging with Carm De Santis https://www.pridetoronto.com/event/sex-talk-1/

A settler ageing cis-gender woman who works and studies in the field of sexuality and relationships. Carm is constantly exploring innovative ways to weave theory and research into my practice as an educator, clinician, and researcher. Together Carm promotes ways to create “being and doing” sex and relationships that are less prescriptive and more creative. Carm’s practice is informed by my research interests that include the embodiment of pleasure, erotic literacy, consensual non-monogamy, sexual diversity and inclusion, anti-oppressive practices and social justice while working toward cultural humility.

Age and Access

An Intergenerational Conversation with 2SLGBTQ+ Seniors. The 2SLGBTQ+ community often toils with visibility and access, but age adds another layer to this controversy. What sort of impact does ageism have on visibility and access across generations? This conversation explores the commonalities between youth and seniors as well as the compounded oppression and systemic barriers that 2SLGBTQ+ seniors experience in their struggle for visibility and access.

Dear Senior Pride Network,

This Pride season, Egale is launching a new campaign, #PrideInside2021 – we might still be celebrating Pride Inside our homes but inside our hearts we are resilient, and it’s what’s inside that matters most!

Over the last year, 2SLGBTQI people and allies across Canada have shown just how resilient and resourceful we are. As Canada's leading organization for 2SLGBTQI people and issues, Egale has worked hard to support and advocate for our communities through research, education, awareness, and legal advocacy initiatives during this time, and we are ready to celebrate!

Please join us for one of the many free virtual events that Egale is hosting for Pride Inside - a free screening of our documentary Sex, Sin & ’69, Queer Prom, as well as Safer Schools and Affirming Adult webinars.

We are also excited to feature a pride playlist, shareable socials, accessible activities and more!
