Should the account number be six (6) digits and begin with a (2) this means that this is a co-owner. The following is an explanation of what these account #’s stand for, after omitting the (2) on the co-owners. They may be reached by telephone at 828-733-8333. For emergencies dial 911. In 2009 Linville Land Harbor affixed 911 house #’s on the developed properties in Linville Land Harbor. This house # was put on your property at the street where you are addressed. (which is the law!) The 911 # address should be only on the street where you are addressed and not at the back or side of your house. If your home is less than 100’ from the street, the sign should be displayed at or near your front door. If more than 100’, the number must be displayed at the street next to your driveway. This would also apply to motor homes/travel trailers in that they should be posted at the street. All numbers must be at least 4” tall. There should not be any deeded lot number identification addressing on your property as this confuses emergency services. If your 911 house number sign gets damaged, you should call 828-733-8310 (the Operations Administrator) and report your damage so your sign can be replaced or repaired. The Police Department regularly patrols Linville Land Harbor roads and reports safety hazards and maintenance needs to the appropriate authority. All officers carry side-arms. Violations should be brought to the attention of the Chief of Police or officer on duty. The Library hours are as follows: October, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. June through September, Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. November through May, will be opened on Wednesday from 2 p.m till 4 p.m. The Conference Room, which is scheduled through the Recreation Department, is available for meetings etc. OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE & UTILITIES DEPARTMENTS Operations is responsible for road maintenance, garbage pick-up, POA facility maintenance, etc. Garbage pick-up is one day a week during the winter months (Monday or Tuesday - depending on what neighborhood). During the peak season garbage is picked up one day per week either on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Owners will be notified when schedules are changed. Pick-up schedules will be adjusted during weeks when POA Holidays occur. Holidays, which the staff observes are New Years, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday & Friday) and Christmas (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Please refer to Harbor Lights or the Cluster Mailboxes for notices on the changes. Problems/work requests should be reported to the Operations Administrator at 828-733-8310. Water leaks or problems with the sewage system should be reported first (prior to getting a plumber) to the Operations Administrator at 828-733-8310, except on holidays or weekends in which case the problem should be reported to the Linville Land Harbor Police at 828-733-8333. Problems on the property owner’s lot (to the street valve) are the responsibility of the property owner. GOLF COURSE/GOLF SHOP The Golf Course is open to POA members-in-good-standing and their guests as
