SOC Fire Summary 2020 July/August/September Statewide Fires Report Date: 9/29/2020 Report Time: 1000 Weather Summary – National Weather Service (NWS) Impacts Critical fire weather conditions continue over the mountains of San Diego and Riverside Counties through Tuesday, where wind gusts up to 40 mph will occur. Lighter winds return Wednesday into late week, but weak offshore flow will continue over southern California through Friday. Poor humidity recovery tonight but better recovery expected for much of the state through late week. Weather Watches and Warnings Northern CA: o NSTR Southern CA: o Red Flag Warning for San Diego and Riverside Counties through Tuesday afternoon o Heat Advisory for the Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Orange, and San Diego County inland valleys through Thursday evening. Northern California Valley (Tue/Tue Night) Foothills/Mountains (Tue/Tue Night) Temps: Highs: 93-103°F, Lows: 58-73° Temps: Highs: 55-85°F, Lows: 50-60°F, expect 30s and 40s over the high Sierr Humidity: Day: 10-25%, Night: 30-50 Humidity: Day: 15-30%, Night: 20-50% Winds: West to northwest 5-10 mph Winds: East to northeast winds up to 5 mph shifting to the south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. West to northwest winds 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Current PSPS Stage: Initiating Re-energization Patrols.
