Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, Brett Lee and some the biggest names in Australian cricket star in brand new integrated ads for sponsors of the KFC Big Bash League, live and exclusive this summer on Network Ten. The tailored ads for Lipton, ahm and AMF capture the energy and excitement of the explosive summer ratings sensation and were written and produced by Network Ten’s award-winning Commercial Integration department. The highly-anticipated 2015-16 KFC Big Bash League season kicked off last night with an electrifying opener between cross-town rivals the Sydney Sixers and the Sydney Thunder. 1.25 million viewers nationally watched Session 2 and 1.22 million viewers nationally watched Session 1 as the Sydney Thunder beat their arch-rivals. Session 2 had the biggest ever audience for a non-Finals game and was the #1 program last night in people 25 to 54. Both sessions and the Post Game dominated their timeslots in 25 to 54s, under 55s and total people. As a unified business we are delivering some fantastic results for our clients.” In Lipton Ice Tea’s campaign, KFC Big Bash League commentator Freddie Flintoff travels to the hottest town in Australia, where he drinks Lipton Ice Tea to cool off. Filmed in WA’s Marble Bar, Freddie uses his trademark sense of humour to endure temperatures of 46 degrees. In a series of further Tea Break ads, Lipton Ice Tea helps the cricket legend cool off in the commentary box and on the field. Brett Lee is a great ambassador for our brand and collaborating with Ten allows us to align our ‘Keeping Things Uncomplicated’ message with Brett Lee’s professional expertise and simple cricket advice. The integrated ads are an exciting opportunity for us to drive engagement with ahm’s purpose to make private health insurance more accessible for more Australians.” Celebrated players from the Sydney Thunder star in an innovative campaign for AMF. Michael Hussey, Shane Watson, Clint McKay and Gurinder Sandhu compete in a bowl-off in which they swap the cricket pitch for the bowling lane. Delivering fast-paced cricket balls down a ten pin bowling alley, the players compete to show there’s more to the AMF experience than just bowling.
