Fellows Deceased It is with much regret that we report the deaths of: Professor Geoffrey Wallis Steuart Barrow; Professor Arnold William Hendry; Professor Peter Ludwig Pauson; and Professor David Maxwell Walker CBE QC. We have been made aware of the death of Melvin Daft, but do not know the date. If any Fellow was able to supply this for our records, and/or provide an obituary, this would be much appreciated. Please email: [email protected]

RSE Directory From this year onwards, we will not publish home addresses or telephone numbers in the Directory. We appreciate that for some retired Fellows, this may be the only contact information available to other Fellows, and we will be happy to discuss how to accommodate their needs. Any Fellow wishing to check his or her current Directory entry can do so at: www.royalsoced.org.uk/cms/files/fellows/restricted/fellows_2014.pdf. Please let us know of any changes by 7 February – email Jennifer Cameron. The normal Fellows-only area user name and password will be required to open this file. Please contact RSE Reception – 0131 240 5000 – if you do not have these details. The Directory will be published in mid-March and Fellows will be advised when this happens. Through choice, it is no longer distributed to all Fellows, but is made available to all on the RSE website.

Fellows’ Certificates The RSE now provides all new Fellows with a certificate upon election. A number of Fellows, elected before certificates were automatically issued, have expressed an interest in purchasing one of these, and Fellows are now welcome to order a certificate for a small charge (£10). Certificates can be ordered through the RSE website at: www.royalsoced.org.uk/1123_FellowsCertificates.html or by cheque payable to The Royal Society of Edinburgh. Cheques should be sent for the attention of Morven Chisholm, Fellowship Services Manager, and should be accompanied by a note of your name as you would like it to appear on your certificate, and your address.
