1 HOLY ISLAND LANDSCAPE PARTNERSHIP The Ynys Cybi Landscape Partnership will work with the local communities to deliver a programme of actions that will address the locally identified priorities.

These include the sustainable management of the natural heritage and the historic character of the island together with creating a ‘sense of place’, by increasing local awareness and appreciation of Ynys Cybi’s rich and diverse heritage.

The Partnership is looking to ensure that the landscape heritage is at the heart of the current drive to develop Ynys Cybi as an international visitor gateway to .

The scheme will encourage and enable local communities to understand, manage and celebrate Ynys Cybi’s heritage landscape.

The Ynys Cybi Landscape Partnership will work with the local communities to deliver a programme of activities based on Ynys Cybi’s rich and diverse heritage

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To manage and enhance key features of the Island’s natural heritage

To conserve and manage key features of the Island’s character, appearance and built heritage

To increase local understanding and pride in Ynys Cybi’s unique heritage, and develop the capacity to manage it sustainably

To develop and promote Holy Island as an iconic international visitor gateway to Wales

2 Partnership Structure

The Working Groups shall be informal groups designated to coordinate project development & delivery.

Coordinated by the Programme Manager and bringing together stakeholders with project specific knowledge, skills & expertise, their primary functions are to:

i) Provide a forum for bringing together key project stakeholders, delivery partners and beneficiaries

ii) Develop projects and initiatives

iii) Coordinate the delivery of projects & initiatives

iv) Play a part in the process of monitoring the progress of projects & initiatives

v) Report directly to the relevant Program / Project Board.

PROJECTS Project 20 - St Gwenfaen's Circular Walk This project will develop 2 circular routes in the South of Ynys Cybi, linking the communities of Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn & Four Mile Bridge.

Project 21 - Access our Heritage Develop short walking routes linking the residential communities with the coastal path
