Vice President Sales – Freightliner & Western Star Truck Brands (2009-2010) Drove truck sales (Class 6 to 8) activities to dealers, fleets and direct customers for Daimler’s North American Truck brands.

• Directed and managed over 75 sales professionals with responsibility for direct customer negotiations and dealer transactions representing the majority of the company’s unit sales.

• Successfully developed and implemented sales strategies and customer education during the US EPA mandated powertrain product rollout.

President & General Manager (Freightliner/Daimler North American Used Truck Business) (2003-2009) Held full P&L responsibility for used truck operating division, retail sales locations, truck residual management as well as optimization of operating costs (storage, transportation and inspection process).

• Responsible for setting residual values for used vehicles in conjunction with new truck customer sales contract negotiations.

• Led diverse retail sales network of over 50 locations as well as managed used truck- refurbishing center resulting in the sale of over 13,000 used vehicles per year.

• Managed the largest company-wide risk financial reserve for contingent liabilities related to vehicle residual value customer commitments.

• Provided leadership in successful wind-down, closure, or sale of multiple locations necessary to meet overall company profit targets.

• Built and maintained a cohesive team to work closely with new and used truck sales to ensure that operational plans were met within developed risk guidelines.
