As per article 6.1 of the specifications of the call for proposals EAC/S07/2020 – Exchanges and mobility in sport, "Only applications from legal entities established in EU Member States are eligible." Answer Applications received from organisations based in non-EU countries are therefore not eligible under this call for proposals. Can organisations that promote the values of sport and organise Question 2 sport activities apply, even though they are not solely dedicated to sport? Yes. The call specifications do not specify that the core occupation of Answer applicants needs to be in the sport field, but that the applicants need to be active in this field. Can the mobility and exchange activities regard an exchange of Question 3 good practices in coaching and educating youth between a sport organisation and a youth organisation? As per article 6.2 of the call specifications, coaching and educating are Answer eligible activities, as long as they remain linked to the sport field.     MIXED MOVEMENTS IN WEST AFRICA MIXED MOVEMENTS IN WEST AFRICA This update covers the period March-April 2019 and provides an overview of regional and country trends as well as of programming and advocacy work undertaken by UNHCR Operations in the field of Mixed Movements. It includes contributions from: RRWA; Algeria; Burkina Faso; Chad; Ghana; Liberia; Mali and Niger. Introduction The scope, magnitude and complexity of mixed movements in West Africa continued to increase significantly, as intensifying conflicts, violent extremism and large-scale violence engendered unprecedented secondary movements. In West Africa, persons of concern to UNHCR, including refugees, asylum-seekers, stateless persons and persons at risk of statelessness, remain largely invisible among people moving within mixed flows, both within West Africa and en route to Europe. Until the root causes and triggers of displacement are addressed in many countries in nearby regions, people will continue to seek safety and protection. Forced displacement from Mali, northern Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and western Niger could contribute to onward movement towards Europe via the Central Mediterranean or Western Mediterranean routes. Documenting the scale and nature of risks and abuses along travel routes is challenging. For many, the crossing of the Mediterranean is just a final step of a much longer and often very dangerous journey that has included passing through areas of armed conflict, crossing deserts, and for some, being held for ransom and tortured, or trafficked for sexual or labour exploitation. Evidence suggests that refugees on the move across West and North Africa are at risk of death, extreme physical abuse, sexual and gender-based violence, kidnapping, robberies and detention.

    EL HINSHIRI, ALI KHALIFA. The History of Physical Education and Sport in the Libyan Arab Republic. (1976) Directed by: Dr. Tony Ladd. Pp. 84. The purpose of this study was an historical analysis of the development of physical education and sport in the Libyan Arab Republic from the earliest recorded references to the present day. The historical method of research was used to collect and describe data. In the early history of Libya there was ample evidence that physical activities, of a rudimentary nature, were an essential aspect of life. The first organized sport, how- ever, did not appear until after 1920 with the formation of the Italian sport federation. Sport competitions and clubs gradually increased in number and type particularly after the proclamation of independence in 1952 when the Central Sports League was established. The sport movement gained momentum in the 1960s with the formation of the Libyan Olympic Committee which provided leadership, organization and financial aid. Between 1960 and 1975 there was a dispersion of sports activities to all parts of the country as mass participation became a reality. The most popular mass sports were soccer, volleyball, basket- ball and track and field. The importance of physical education as an essential part of the education of youth was realized after indepen- dence was achieved in 1952. Professional preparation of physical education teachers became a reality by 1960 when the \ I department of physical education within the Ministry of Edu- cation was established and an institute of physical education was opened in Tripoli. Physical education had then become an acceptable part of the curriculum.
