On Friday, March 31, 2000 R.J. Corradino passed away due to complica- tions from a disease that haunted him from childhood. In my short time in this world I've been witness to more than my share of tragic accidents and untimely deaths, yet never before has someone's death caused me to so closely evaluate my own values and priorities. I was one of the lucky people at Stockton who was able to be in the same classes as RJ. On April 5,2000, Stevie Starr the incred- ible amazing entertainer called, "The Regurgitator" came to Stockton's A-wing lecture Hall. BOA (Board of Activities) invited him to Stockton College. This bizarre phenomenon has appeared on tele- vision shows throughout the world includ- ing, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Comedy Central's "Viva Variety," and Fox's Guinness Book of World Records. The cost of the show was free which resulted in a large turnout of Stockton students. At the start of the show he made jokes to get the crowd excitable with the help of Shaun Clifford, who started the crowd chants. He started to swallow live fish, smoke, and snooker balls, a rubies cube, gas, light bulbs, and more. He performed an act using a lock and key where he first swallowed the key, then the lock. While the two items were in his stomach, he then inserted the key into the lock by pressing firmly onto his abdomen. The next act was the gas act, which Stair claims is his favorite act.
