Denise Carter Promoted to C-suite

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., an Engineering News Record Top 100-ranked firm, has named M. Denise Carter, P.E. as chief strategy officer. Denise previously led the Metro New York offices (Babylon & Manha�an) as branch manager. In her new role, Denise will lead and implement business strategy across the en�re GPI organiza�on, integra�ng business opera�ons and services to op�mize staff and organiza�onal development. As a member of the strategic planning team, she will work to clarify and organize the roles of corporate service leaders and senior management to op�mize collabora�on and efficiency across all service lines and loca�ons. Leadership development and technology innova�on will also be focus areas as part of her new role.

Gregory Zenk Becomes Branch Manager of Metro NY Offices

Gregory Zenk, P.E. has been promoted to branch manager. Greg is a 27-year veteran with GPI and for the past 15 years has served as director of construc�on services, growing the department exponen�ally during this �me. He has successfully led teams of resident engineers and construc�on inspectors on some of the largest and most high-profile projects in the New York metropolitan area projects including construc�on management of the Naviga�onal Clearance (Road Raising) Program; Restoring the George ; Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Rehabilita�on; Bronx-Whitestone Bridge Reconstruc�on; R.F. Kennedy Bridge Improvements; Belt Parkway Program and Construc�on Management; Queensboro Bridge, , and Manha�an Bridge Reconstruc�on Programs; and -Midtown Tunnel and Rehabilita�on Improvements due to Superstorm Sandy damage.

Michael J. Sala� Named Deputy Branch Manager of Metro NY Offices

Michael J. Sala�, P.E., PTOE, RSP will serve as senior vice president/deputy branch manager. Mike has been with GPI for 43 years and has served as director of transporta�on services for the past 27 years. He has grown his staff and service diversity considerably during his tenure as director and has moved the firm into becoming a top provider of state-of-the-art technology such as simula�on modeling, intelligent transporta�on systems (ITS); traffic management center (TMC) opera�ons; traffic calming and safety; (BRT) and traffic signal priority (TSP) systems. A representa�on of his projects includes: ITS Services to Design, Upgrade, Protect and Maintain the INFORM ITS System; Pedestrian Safety Corridor Studies and Recommended Improvements to some of the most dangerous roadways on Long Island; Replacement of Port Authority’s E-ZPass Toll Collec�on System at all PANYNJ toll facili�es; and NYC Transit Signal Priority (TSP) System projects along 16 corridors involving 78 miles and 951 intersec�ons. As deputy branch manager, Mike will be responsible for opera�onal ac�vi�es of the design departments, which include structures, civil and transporta�on, for the branch.
