Leverage your visit by including a day of match - making appointments in Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Peru or . For additional fees, multiple countries may be selected. A reduced participation fee is made possible for companies located in the Appalachia region of Georgia due to a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). India Inbound Buyers Mission, June 26, 2014, Atlanta, Georgia Join the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and the Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) in Atlanta for meetings with leading Indian food and beverage buyers. Trade Mission to , July 10 – 17, 2014, Qingdao, Beijing, and Shanghai, China Join Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr as he leads a trade mission to Qingdao, Beijing and Shanghai, China. The mission is anchored around the featured Georgia day at the 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition (Expo), which includes a garden designed by the University of Georgia. Trade Mission to Colombia, September 14-17, 2014, Bogotá, Colombia Join GDEcD and SUSTA on a trade mission to Colombia, where Georgia agriculture and food exporters will meet with qualified buyers and tour various grocery chains and specialty stores in Bogota. Participants will receive reimbursement for hotel expenses, interpreter services, and in-country transportation costs. Additionally, SUSTA will provide up to $500.00 in product sample shipping costs. SEUS- Japan 2014, September 18-20, 2014, Tokyo, Japan Join the Georgia delegation for the 37th Annual Joint Meeting at the Hotel New Otani in Tokyo, Japan, September 18-20, 2014. Created in 1976 by former Georgia Governor George Busbee, the Southeast U.S. – Japan Association (SEUS-Japan) was established to promote trade, investment, understanding and friendship between Japan and the southeas tern . Member states include , , Georgia, , , and , and SEUS-Japan has a Japanese counterpart, the Japan-U.S. Southeast Association. Both memberships include top business leaders and government officials. Small Business Trade Mission to China, September 21-27, 2014, Beijing and Shanghai, China Join the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) on a small business trade mission to Shanghai and Beijing, China, September 21-28, 2014. This mission provides Georgia businesses with opportunities to meet key contacts, leverage trade opportunities and learn about the Chinese market. Trade Mission to , October 27-30, 2014, Toronto, Canada Join the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and the Southern U.S. Trade Association (SUSTA) on a trade mission to Toronto to meet qualified retail and food service produce buyers. Canada is the number one destination for U.S. agriculture products, accounting for $26 billion in exports last year. IFE Africa 2014, November 5-7, 2014, Johannesburg, Exhibit with GDEcD and SUSTA at the second annual International Food and Drink Event in Africa. IFE Africa offers exhibitors an exceptional platform to generate new business opportunities in South Africa and serves as a gateway to the expanding pan-African market. Trade Mission to South Africa, November 8-10, 2014, Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa Join GDEcD and SUSTA on a trade mission to South Africa, where Georgia food and beverage companies will be able to meet with key buyers in the South Africa market as well as tour retail facilities in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. The $600.00 participation fee includes in-country transportation, site visits, and one-on-one meetings. Additionally, participants will also receive hotel reimbursement from SUSTA. GDEcD International Trade Programs & Services

The International Trade division provides Georgia companies with know-how, key in-country contacts, and international opportunities. They leverage the state’s 11 markets located in Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany (EU), Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico and the U.K & Ireland, to provide export promotion through various services including: • Global Insight – services designed to provide knowledge to companies including the “how-to’s” of exporting and industry-specific and country specific data. Programs include research, education, consultations, in-country market assessment and partner resources. • Global Connections – services designed to match Georgia suppliers with international buyers/representatives. Programs include trade shows/missions/incoming buying delegations, in- country matching, and a “Trade Opportunities Alert” notification.

Georgia’s G.R.O.W. Step by Step Program The Georgia Reaching Out Worldwide (G.R.O.W.) Step by Step program is funded in part through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grant Program. G.R.O.W. provides new export services and reduced fees for existing export services and is designed to increase Georgia’s small business exports. Qualified companies are able to participate in other trade promotion activities and for added benefits such as discounted booth space at international trade shows, appointments with incoming buyer delegations and many other export promotion programs and services. Online Georgia Export Directory Georgia exporters and export service providers can register to be listed in the online Georgia Export Directory – www.georgiaexportdirectory.com. Company listings will feature contact and product information, free of charge. For a fee, companies may upgrade to a more in-depth listing. LINK Applications are now being accepted from experienced Georgia – based Export Trading (ETC) and Export Management (EMC) Companies for LINK, a new initiative offered which provides an additional resource for small businesses wishing to engage in exporting. Information from companies experienced in providing ETC/EMC services will be compiled into an electronic directory called LINK which will link small companies with experienced companies that can handle export sales on their behalf. This directory will be made available free of charge to Georgia exporters and potential exporters. Small businesses will be encouraged to contact the ETCs and EMCs directly to determine mutually beneficial business opportunities. (Holly Skorich, [email protected])

Trade Opportunities Alert GDEcD distributes a bi-monthly email publication listing specific opportunities to sell products/services in key markets abroad. These leads are developed by GDEcD and/or GDEcD’s International Representatives. The Trade Opportunities Alert includes specific information on international companies seeking to purchase, distribute or represent Georgia companies and products. Country Connections Country Connections highlight Georgia’s unique relationships with select countries around the world through government and commerce, trade, capital investment, and transportation. Country Connections are updated on an annual basis. (Danielle Pascual, [email protected])

Customized Export Assistance Georgia’s International Representatives located in: Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany (representing the European Union), Israel, Mexico and the United Kingdom provide export assistance to qualified Georgia firms.
