*9:00 - 10:00 Ladies ages 7-9 for possible Party Girls, Naughty Cookie, Lead Lamb, Lead Soldier, Star Lights

*10:00 - 11:30 Ladies ages 10 – 12 for possible Clara, Party Girls, Lead Lamb, Snow Fairy, Chinese Tea Lead, Marzipan Shepherdess, Ballerina Doll, Harlequin, Russian Ribbons, Spanish Cocos, Chinese Tea.

*11:30 - 12:30 Beginning and Intermediate pointe for possible Snow Fairy, Chinese Tea Lead, Marzipan Shepherdess, Ballerina Doll, Harlequin, Russian Ribbons, Spanish Cocoas, Chinese Tea.

*12:45 - 1:00 Boys age 7 to 13 for Nutcracker, Fritz, Party Boys

*1:00 - 2:30 Acting Call Back audition for students who attended the 10:00 for the role of Clara.

*3:30 - 5:00 Intermediate / Advanced Pointe Women and men ages 13+ for Sugar Plum Fairy, Cavalier, Snow Queen, Arabian Coffee, Snow Fairy, Rose, Spanish Cocoa Lead, Chinese Tea Lead, Marzipan Shepherdess, Ballerina Doll, Harlequin, Russian Ribbons, Spanish Cocos

*5:00 - 5:30 Pas de deux for students who attended the 3:30 audition for Sugar Plum Fairy, Arabian, Snow Queen

Auditioning soloists must be registered in the Ballet Program and Nutcracker 2019 Soloist. Arrive 30 minutes before their audition time to be measured for costumes. Bring 2” x 3” photo which will not be returned. Bring snacks and water in case you are called back to audition longer. Ladies wear their hair up away from the face in a secure bun (no ponytails); camisole leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Boys wear tight fitting white t-shirt, black tights, ballet shoes.

GROUP DANCERS in the DTI 2019-2020 Preschool Program's Ballet Basics and Ballet Program are not required to audition. Group dances include the Christmas Lights, Soldiers, Mice, Reindeers, Snowflakes, Frosted Angels, Peppermint Drops, Candy Canes, Spanish, Arabian Attendant, Lambs, Gingerbread Cookies, and Flowers. Register for DTI's Ferla Ballet Program classes, Preschool Program's Ballet Basics classes, AND Nutcracker 2019 Group Dancer.

Soloist and Group Dancer Requirements: *Volunteer a minimum of 16 hours or $280 volunteer buy-out. *Attendance for studio run – through on December 7 and December 8 *Attendance for theater staging rehearsals from December 9 to 13. *2 -4 performances depending on the dancer’s role. December 14 and December 15 at 11am and 4pm. *Soloist and demi-soloist roles rehearse outside class time, either Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays beginning September 21. Soloist and demi-soloist performance fee of $365 per student covers the audition, group roles, 20-45 rehearsal and performance hours outside of class time, 2-6 costume rentals, theater costs. If a student is not cast as a soloist, the $165 difference will be credited. $10 off each additional sibling. *Group dancers rehearse during DTI’s Ballet Program and Preschool Program's Ballet Basics classes. Group performance fee of $200 per student covers 15-35 rehearsal and performance hours outside of class time, 1-5 costume rentals, and theater costs. $10 off each additional sibling. *Scholarships are available for boys. Donations are always welcome.
