One position that was NOT contested was the position for Regional Vice Chair of Region 1 (our region). Lisa Maxwell, currently of Boston Mensa (and a former member of So. CT Mensa) was elected unopposed, and will be taking on her position at the upcoming Annual Gathering. Chair — Deborah Stone is declared elected. The topic for discussion was Thinking, Fast and Slow, a 2011 book by psychologist and behavioral economist Daniel Kahneman, winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize for Economics. Kahneman’s book focuses on two modes of thought people use: the fast System 1 way, which is common, automatic, intuitive, and subconscious, and the slow System 2 way, which requires
