Deputy State Public Health Director (Disease Control) - Welcome all participants and appreciated for all the participants for open
discussion though some of the issues were already discussed at the morning session.
Agenda 3 Presentations from State Public Health Department Actions to be taken Presentation from Deputy State Public Health Director (Disease Control) -Oriented current situation of Malaria and DHF cases in Kachin State. Malaria
- Explained that according to National Strategic Plan, the targeted prevalence rate of Malaria cases is less than 1 case par 1,000 people and there will be no cerebral malaria case in at least six States and Regions (Yangon, Bago, Magway, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Mon) in 2020 and all States and Regions
in 2025. - In 2030, Malaria elimination in all States and Regions.
- Focused that the prevalence rate in Kachin State is decreased compared to previous years, Kachin State still remained as the fourth place in Myanmar. - Despite the trend is declining in Kachin State, Wine Maw, Moemauk and Mohnyin townships are still the most malaria prevalence townships based Malaria Partner Agencies on 2014, 2015, 2016 data.
