LRP I RFP) – Site Considerations Information for Proposed Trenton Lock 1 Hydro Project July 17, 2015 H/349702/1000 Mr. Daniel Gillenwater Hydroméga Services Inc. 1134, Ste-Catherine W. - 12th Floor Montreal, Quebec H3B 1H4 Subject: IESO Request for Proposal for the Procurement of new large Energy Projects (LRP I RFP) – Site Considerations Information for Proposed Trenton Lock 1 Hydro Project Dear Mr.Gillenwater: The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)’s Request for Proposals for the Procurement of up to 565 MW of New Large Renewable Energy Projects (“LRP I RFP”) requires that Qualified Applicants, such as Hydroméga Services Inc. satisfy a number of Mandatory Requirements including the provision of Site Considerations Information as specified in Section 3.2.6 (b) – Site Considerations Information. Hatch understands that Hydroméga Services Inc. is considering submitting a proposal for a proposed hydroelectric energy generating facility (referred to as the Trenton Lock 1 Hydro project) to the IESO in response to the LRP I RFP. Hatch has prepared detailed scale maps of the Large Renewable Project and the proposed Connection Line at a suitable and clearly labeled scale to clearly identify the Site Considerations Information specified in Section 3.2.6 (b) of the LRP I RFP. These Maps are appended herein as Attachment 1. In addition, Hatch has prepared a concordance table (provided in Attachment 2) to identify the LRP I RFP Section and Site Consideration Information requirements; the source of information obtained and presented; the date on which the information was obtained or provided (or the date associated with data currency); and a determination of findings. Confirmations received from the applicable authorities and online search results, as applicable to demonstrate that the Site Considerations Information requirements have been satisfied are provided in Attachment 3. The occasion for its preparation is, of course, the one hundredth anniversary of the opening up of Victoria county. Its chief purposes are four in number: — (1) to place on record the local details of pioneer life that are fast passing into oblivion; (2) to instruct the present generation of school-children in the ori- gins and development of the social system in which they live; (3) to show that the form which our county's development has taken has been largely determined by physiographical, racial, social, and economic forces; and (4) to demonstrate how we may, after a scien- tific study of these forces, plan for the evolution of a higher eco- nomic and social order. The difficulties of the work have been prodigious. A Victoria County Historical Society, formed twenty years ago for a similar purpose, found the field so sterile that it disbanded, leaving no re- cords behind. Under such circumstances, I have had to dig deep.
