This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2007, and include remarkable findings from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish catalogue (Karsholt & Sta- del Nielsen, 1998), which is based on the European checklist (Karsholt & Ra- zowski (eds.), 1996). Two species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Coptotriche angusticol- lella (Duponchel,1843)(Tischeriidae). One specimen was taken on the Island Lolland in the south of Denmark in the month of October. It might be a speci- men of a partial second generation. 2) Caloptilia hemidactylella (Denis & Schif- fermüller, 1775)(Gracillariidae). Two specimens have been taken at the west coast of Jutland in two different years. The total number of Danish Tischeriidae is now 4 and of Gracillariidae 84; this results in a total of 1551 species of Microlepidoptera (families Micropteri- gidae-Pyralidae) found in Denmark. The total amount of Macrolepidoptera mentioned from Denmark is now 954, bringing the total number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2505 species. Correspondance to: Småsommerfuglelisten, Zoologisk Museum, Universitets- parken 15, DK-2100 København Ø, Danmark (e-mail: [email protected]). 220 soltimer er 5 % over normalen (209 timer).

The list comprises 116 species of Noctuidae (26.4% of the Polish fauna), 116 species of Geometridae (28.4% of the Polish fauna) and 63 species of other Macrolepidoptera representatives (27.9% of the Polish fauna). The remaining 123 species were represented by Microlepidoptera. Nearly 10% of the species were associated with wetland habitats, what constitutes a surprisingly large proportion in such an urbanised area. Comparing the obtained data with previous studies concerning Polish urban fauna of Lepidoptera, the moths assemblages in the Botanical Garden were the most similar to the one from the Natolin Forest Reserve which protects the legacy of Mazovian forests. Several recorded moths appertain to locally and rarely encountered species, as Stegania cararia, Melanthia procellata, Pasiphila chloerata, Eupithecia haworthiata, Horisme corticata, Xylomoia graminea, Polychrysia moneta. In the light of the conducted studies, the Botanical Garden in Lublin stands out as quite high biodiversity and can be regarded as a refuge for moths within the urban limits of Lublin.

Nat. Croat., Vol. 30, No. 1, 37–52, 2021, Zagreb. From 2016 to 2020 numerous surveys were undertaken to improve the knowledge of the pyraloid moth fauna of Biokovo Nature Park. On August 27th, 2020 one specimen of Psorosa mediterranella (Amsel, 1954) from the family Pyralidae was collected on a small meadow (985 m a.s.l.) on Mt Biok- ovo. In this paper, the first data about the occurrence of this species in Croatia are presented. The previ- ous mention in the literature for Croatia was considered to be a misidentification of the past and has thus not been included in the checklist of Croatian pyraloid moth species. P. mediterranella was recorded for the first time in Croatia in recent investigations and, after other additions to the checklist have been counted, is the 396th species in the Croatian pyraloid moth fauna. Józef RAZOWSKI, Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences, S³awkowska 17, 31-016 Kraków, Poland. E-mail: razowski.isez.pan.krakow.pl I. INTRODUCTION Early tortricid workers such as HAWORTH (1811), HERRICH-SCHHÄFFER (1856), and others pre- sented the first terminology for forewing pattern elements in their descriptions of new species. Nearly a century later, SÜFFERT (1929) provided a more eclectic discussion of pattern elements for Lepidoptera in general. In recent decades, the common and repeated use of specific terms in de- scriptions and illustrations by FALKOVITSH (1966), DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968), and oth- ers reinforced these terms in Tortricidae. BRADLEY et al. (1973) summarized and commented on all the English terms used to describe forewing pattern elements. DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968) and KUZNETZOV (1978) analyzed tortricid pattern elements, primarily Olethreutinae, dem- onstrating the taxonomic significance of the costal strigulae in that subfamily. For practical pur- poses they numbered the strigulae from the forewing apex to the base, where the strigulae often become indistinct. KUZNETZOV (1978) named the following forewing elements in Tortricinae: ba- sal fascia, subterminal fascia, outer fascia (comprised of subapical blotch and outer blotch), apical spot, and marginal line situated in the marginal fascia (a component of the ground colour).

Fund af småsommerfugle fra Danmark i 2018 (Lepidoptera) Records of Microlepidoptera from Denmark in 2018 (Lepidoptera) Otto Buhl, Per Falck, Ole Karsholt, Knud Larsen & Flemming Vilhelmsen Correspondance to: Småsommerfuglelisten, Zoologisk Museum, Universitetsparken 15, DK-2100 København Ø, Danmark, e-mail: [email protected] Abstract This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2018 and includes remarkable records from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish checklist (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen, 2013). Seven species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Micrurapteryx kollariella (Zeller, 1839) and 2) Caloptilia honoratella (Rebel, 1914) (Gracillariidae); 3) Dichomeris latipennella (Rebel, 1937) and 4) Scrobipalpa bryophiloides Povolný, 1966 (Gelechiidae); 5) Aethes bilbaensis (Rössler, 1877) (Tortricidae); 6) Hodebertia testalis (Fabricius, 1794) and 7) Cynaeda pustulalis (Hübner, 1823) (Crambidae). All were collected in one or two specimens with automatic light traps, apart from S. bryophiloides which was taken at light and H. testalis which was collected on sugar ropes. Stenoptilia veronicae Karvonen, 1932 replaces Stenoptilia eborinodactyla Zagulajev, 1986 in the Danish list. The introduced species Prays oleae (Bernard, 1788) is removed from the list as the only specimen recorded from Denmark belongs to Prays citri (Millière, 1873). The total number of Danish Gracillariidae is now 91, Gelechiidae 182, Tortricidae 395, and Crambidae 128. This results in a total of 1629 species of Microlepidoptera (families Micropterigidae–Zygaenidae + Pyralidae–Crambidae) found in Denmark. The total number of Macrolepidoptera species recorded from Denmark is 978, bringing the number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2607 species. This is the 40th article in the series of yearly lists of Microlepidoptera from Denmark published in Entomologiske Meddelelser.

To the fauna of Pyralid and Crambid moths (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae, Crambidae) of Rostov-on-Don Province. SUMMARY. Since 1978, during day- and night-time moth monitoring in Rostov-on-Don Province, 5397 ex. of 137 species Pyralidae and Crambidae were collected in 36 localities. Preliminary studies of S.N. Alpheraky [Алфера- ки, 1876] represented 63 species. The total list now includes 157 species of both families. Two species of Pyralidae (Phycitinae), Pempelia amoenella (Zeller, 1848) and Metallosticha argyrogrammos (Zeller, 1847), re reported from Russia for the first time. The most common and mass species are: Nomophila noctuella ([Den. & Schiff.]), Etiella zinckenella (Tr.), Aporodes floralis (Hb.), Euchromius ocellea (Hw.), Actenia brunnealis (Tr.), Homoeosoma nimbella (Dup.), Mecyna flavalis ([Den. & Schiff.]), Synaphe moldavica (Esp.), Pediasia luteella ([Den. & Schiff.]), Lamoria anella ([Den. & Schiff.]), Endotricha flammealis ([Den. & Schiff.]), Parapoynx stratiotata (L.), Hypsopygia costalis (F.), Calamotropha paludella (Hb.), Thisanotia chrysonuchella (Scop.), Agriphila tristella ([Den. & Schiff.]).

Ent. Meddr, 47:49-61. Copenhagen, Denmark 1979. ISSN 0013-8851. A list is given on the distribution of the 356 species of Tortricoidea recorded from Denmark. The division used is the same, which is being used in Fauna ent. scand., and deals with Il faunistic districts (Fig. l). O n! y 2 signatures are used, viz. X when the species is found in the di strict, and ? when a record could not be confirmed. The nomenelature follows Karsbolt & Ni elsen (1976), where synonyms are listed. Records for Ae/eris nigri/ineana Kawabe are Iisted to gether with abietana (Hlibner). The distribution of the Danish Tortricoidea is rather well known. More than half of the species (188) are recorded from at least IO districts, whereas only 12 species have not been found in morethan l district. Most species (319) are found in NEZ araund Copenhagen, where most Microlepidopterists have lived, and only 175 species are record ed from SJ, because a resident collector of these moths has nev er existed. Figs 2-9 show the distribution for a number of species, exemplifying typical patterns of distribu tion for the Danish Tortricoidea. Ole Karshol t, Ronesbanke 16, DK-4720 Præstø, Danmark. During a short surveyonly on Lepidoptera fauna in Lampedusa we collected a few species that are still unknown for the island. Although short surveys lead to the collection of few specimens Introduction and species, however they can reveal interesting species of bio- geographicuse relevance (e.g., Acleris lorquiniana (Duponchel, 1835), rare species in Italy, Pinzari & Pinzari, 2013; Scythris Research on Lepidoptera fauna in Central Italy has been car- clavella (Zeller, 1855), new to Peninsular Italy, Pinzari, 2016; ried out for many years and showed how much the fauna Clepsis peritana (Clemens, 1860), an alien species, Pinzari et al., 2018) and give an important contribution in shaping their distribu- tion in Italy. PAPER ZOOS' PRINT JOURNAL 20(2): 1751-1765 TAXONOMIC STUDIES ON THE FAMILY TORTRICIDAE (TORTRICOIDEA: LEPIDOPTERA) FROM NORTHWESTERN INDIA -- TRIBE EUCOSMINI (OLETHREUTINAE) H.S. Rose and H.S. Pooni Department of Zoology, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab 147002, India E-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT Sixteen species belonging to eleven genera viz., Rhopobota Lederer, Acroclita Lederer, Strepsicrates Meyrick, Gibberifera Obraztsov, Loboschiza Diakonoff, Crocidosema Zeller, Epinotia Hübner, Helictophanes Meyrick, Acanthoclita Diakonoff, Ancylis Hübner and Eucosma Hübner belonging to the tribe Eusosmini (Olethreutinae) of the family Tortricidae have been collected from northwestern India and dealt with taxonomically. Key to the presently examined genera has been prepared on the basis of characters such as the labial palpi, antennae, costal fold, anal fold, wing venation and male and female genitalic characteristics. Further, keys to the species of the genera Epinotia Hübner and Eucosma Hübner represented by more than one species have also been furnished. Eucosma pseudostrigulata is being reported as new to science. Species such as Rhopobota grypodes Meyrick, Epinotia corynetes Diakonoff, Acanthoclita iridorphna Meyrick and Eucosma prominens Meyrick are being reported for the first time from India, whereas, Acroclita corinthia Meyrick, Gibberifera glaciata Meyrick, Epinotia canthonias Meyrick, Helictophanes dryocoma Meyrick, Ancylis lutescens Meyrick, Eucosma stereoma Meyrick and E. melanoneura Meyrick have been collected for the first

A.I. Kurentsov's Annual Memorial Meetings ___________________________________________________________________ 2015 вып.
