PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT OF GADARWARA CRUSHER STONE QUARRY 1. Introduction i. Identification of project and project proponent: The Metal Stone Quarry area is located at Village- Gadarwara, Tehsil & District- Seoni (M.P) 3.50 Ha quarry lease area with production of 25,399 Cubic Meter/Year (Max.) is being operated by the lessee proponent, Shri Nawal Kishore Baghel, S/o Shri Nemisinh Baghel, having residence Lakhanwada, P.O. Bamhodi, Tehsil & District- Seoni(M.P.) 480661. The lease area has been prospected by the Dept. Of Mines & Geology Government of Madhya Pradesh and based on the deposits available, the area was granted for quarry lease for the extraction of Stone. ii. Brief description & nature of the projects: The proposed project area is having Basalt stone throughout the area. Basalt Stone mining will be done by Semi mechanized method with helping of dozing, drilling machine, PC-400 Excavator, blasting, loading and transportation. During the working period total 1.7826 Ha area will be excavated. iii. Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region: The proposed mining project will fulfill its end uses in buildings and construction, bridges, paving, monuments, making of road and many other exterior projects. A total of 20-25 people are employed in this mine. It will create employment (though marginally) for local population. iv. Demand –Supply gap: There is large demand of Crusher stone (Basalt) for road, railway track, building construction etc. v. Imports vs. Indigenous production: There will be no import for the project. There will be indigenous inputs in the entire mining activity. It is low category material and to be procured from local market. No export is feasible. vi. Employment generation (direct and indirect) due to the project: During mining operation about 20-25 labors i.e. skilled, semi-skilled and un-skilled will be required. Unit will use good faith efforts to employ local people from the nearby villages depending upon the availability of skilled & un-skilled man-power surrounding the project site. ix. Topography : Topographically the lease area is a having undulating topography, slope towards SE direction highest elevation of the applied area is 597 mt. above MSL, whereas lowest elevation is 594 mts. Toward SE part of the Q.L area. Difference between highest and lowest elevation of the area is 3m. vii. Location and Accessibility: The lease area is 20.8 km from NW Direction of Seoni.
