NEIGHBORHOODS Somerset Estates CUSTOM HOMES ON LARGE LOTS WITH MOUNTAIN VIEWS GIVE RESIDENTS DAILY BLEND OF LUXURY AND NATURE

BY ELIZABETH GOLD Special to BizWest

Colorado in general and the Front Range specifi- cally offer a plethora of wide-open views of nature at her best. And as a state full of outdoor lovers, those views are taken in with daily appreciation. Living in a spot like Somerset Estates in Niwot gives residents a view of the mountains that stretches the imagination, according to residents. “For me, the most best thing about living here is the view,” said Steven DeWitt. “It’s a thrill to see the Flatirons, the Continental Divide and Longs Peak every morning. “Plus we get an extra hour of sunshine out here.” DeWitt and his family have lived in Somerset Estates since 1995. “What attracted me was the large lots and moun- tain views,” he said. “When we moved here we were the first house on the street. In five years there were five more houses and 15 more children.” A lot of people moved to the area because of the schools – Niwot Elementary, Sunset Middle School and Niwot High School – according to DeWitt.
