The San Bernardino Mountains are located in Southern California or 45 minutes from the Hilton Garden Inn Fontana via the I-15 Freeway. The mountain range is a vacation getaway, Lake Arrowhead is located on the western end of the San Bernardino Mountains at around 5,500 feet. Big Bear sits atop the range, with resort levels at 7,000 feet.The mountain range is also the location of four popular recreational destinations in the Inland Empire area: Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs and Big Bear Lake along with a very popular ski resort Mountain High. The Lake Arrowhead Communities, part of the San Bernardino National Forest, are just 90 miles east of Los Angeles or 45 minutes north of the Hilton Garden Inn Fontana, via the I–15 freeway and a paradise of outdoor recreation and year-round beauty. Winter is a quiet time in Lake Arrowhead, yet visitors do flock to the mountains to experience the snow. When thoughts turn to skiing and snow play, there’s no better place to visit than the Lake Arrowhead Communities. Mountain High resort is the most visited winter resort in California and is just 40 minutes north of the Hilton Garden Inn Fontana via the I–15 freeway. The resort is located along State Route 2 west of Wrightwood, California. The elevation of the resort is 6,600 feet to 8,200 feet for the Mountain High East Resort, 7,000 feet to 8,000 feet for the West Resort and 7,200 feet to 7,800 ft for the North Resort. The North Pole Tubing Park is a part of the North Resort that is dedicated almost entirely to Snow Tubing. The tubing facility is served by two handle tows and has many lanes, so many tubers can get down all at once. .
