Fund Af Småsommerfugle Fra Danmark I 1994 Fund af småsommerfugle fra Danmark i 1994 (Lepidoptera) Otto Buhl, Per Falck, Benny Jørgensen, Ole Karsholt, Knud Larsen & Flemming Vilhelmsen. Buh!, 0., P. Falck, B. Jørgensen, O. Karsholt, K. Larsen & F. Vilhelmsen: Records of Microlepidoptera from Denmark in 1994 (Lepidoptera). Ent. Meddr. 63: 61-74. Copenhagen, Denmark, 1995. ISSN 0013-8851. Thisartide reports on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 1994, and comments on remarkable tindings from previous years. The classitication and no menclature follow Schnack (ed.): Ent. Meddr. 52: 1-163, 1985. Six species are new to the Danish fauna: 1) Trichophaga scandinaviella Zagulajev, 1960 (Tineidae). One specimen was found at Skagen, the northemmost town in Den mark. 2) Phyllonorycter messaniella (Zeller, 1846) (Gracillariidae). 12 specimens were collected in lighttrapsin four si tes in SW Jutland during late September-early Octo ber. These occurrences may be the result of immigration. 3) Leucoptera lathyrifoliella (Stainton, 1866) (Lyonetiidae). Foliowing the identitication of one ol der specimen in the calleetion ofZMUC numerous larvae and adult specimens were collected during August and September in sand dune areas ofW Jutland. The larvae minedleaves of Lathyrus japonicus, a hitherto unrecorded host plant for thi s species. 4) Teleiodes fugacel la (Zeller, 1839) (Gelechiidae). One specimen was caught at light in the edge of a forest at the southem coast of the island of Lolland. This capture represents the northemmost record o f the species. T. fugacellla is recorded also as new to the fauna ofSpain. 5) Bryotropha boreella (Douglas, 1851) (Gelechiidae). One specimen was cap tured in a light trap at the border of a wildlife sanctury in NW Jutland during a very warm night, and later on a 10 year old specimen was detected in a collection. The lat ter was collected in a light trap situated 7 5 km south o f the tirst mentianed si te. *6) Gelechia sestertie/la Herrich-Schiiffer, 1854 ( Gelechiidae). One specimen was collected in a light trap o n the top o f the ZoologicaJ Museum o f Copenhagen. For each o f these species differential diagnosis, reference to tigures of genitalia, and review ofbiology and distribution are given. Two species which were previously known in single specimens, viz. Denisia augustel la (Hiibner, 1796) (Oecophoridae), and Chrysoclista razowskii Ried!, 1965 (Agonoxeni dae) were found in some numbers, (large in the case of the former), indicating that they have breeding populations in Denmark. A peculiar Ioaking specimen identitied as Coleophora zelleriella Heinemann, 1854 is discussed and tigured in colour together with the above mentianed species. Previous records of Coleophora ochripennella Zeller, 1849 from Denmark are shown to be erroneous. The total number of Microlepidoptera (families Micropterigidae-Pyralidae) found in Denmark is now 1486 species. • Biodiversität Von Schmetterlingen (Lepidoptera) Im Gebiet Des Naturparks Schlern
Gredleriana Vol. 7 / 2007 pp. 233 - 306 Biodiversität von Schmetterlingen (Lepidoptera) im Gebiet des Naturparks Schlern Peter Huemer Abstract Biodiversity of butterflies and moths (Lepidoptera) of the Schlern nature park (South Tyrol, Italy) The species diversity of Lepidoptera within the Schlern nature park has been explored during the vegetation periods 2006 and 2007. Altogether 1030 species have been observed in 16 sites, covering about one third of the entire fauna from the province of South Tyrol. Fifteen additional species have been collected during the diversity day 2006 whereas further 113 species date back to historical explorations. The species inventory includes 20 new records for South Tyrol which are briefly reviewed. Among these speciesMicropterix osthelderi, Rhigognostis incarnatella and Cydia cognatana are the first proved records from Italy. Further two species from the surroundings of the Park include the first published records ofPhyllonorycter issikii and Gelechia sestertiella for Italy. Site specific characteristics of Lepidoptera coenosis are discussed in some detail. Historical aspects of lepidopterological exploration of the Schlern are briefly introduced. Keywords: Lepidoptera, faunistics, biodiversity, Schlern, South Tyrol, Italy 1.

  • Lepidoptera) Records of Microlepidoptera from Denmark in 2018 (Lepidoptera)
Fund af småsommerfugle fra Danmark i 2018 (Lepidoptera) Records of Microlepidoptera from Denmark in 2018 (Lepidoptera) Otto Buhl, Per Falck, Ole Karsholt, Knud Larsen & Flemming Vilhelmsen Correspondance to: Småsommerfuglelisten, Zoologisk Museum, Universitetsparken 15, DK-2100 København Ø, Danmark, e-mail: [email protected] Abstract This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2018 and includes remarkable records from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish checklist (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen, 2013). Seven species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Micrurapteryx kollariella (Zeller, 1839) and 2) Caloptilia honoratella (Rebel, 1914) (Gracillariidae); 3) Dichomeris latipennella (Rebel, 1937) and 4) Scrobipalpa bryophiloides Povolný, 1966 (Gelechiidae); 5) Aethes bilbaensis (Rössler, 1877) (Tortricidae); 6) Hodebertia testalis (Fabricius, 1794) and 7) Cynaeda pustulalis (Hübner, 1823) (Crambidae). All were collected in one or two specimens with automatic light traps, apart from S. bryophiloides which was taken at light and H. testalis which was collected on sugar ropes. Stenoptilia veronicae Karvonen, 1932 replaces Stenoptilia eborinodactyla Zagulajev, 1986 in the Danish list. The introduced species Prays oleae (Bernard, 1788) is removed from the list as the only specimen recorded from Denmark belongs to Prays citri (Millière, 1873). The total number of Danish Gracillariidae is now 91, Gelechiidae 182, Tortricidae 395, and Crambidae 128. This results in a total of 1629 species of Microlepidoptera (families Micropterigidae–Zygaenidae + Pyralidae–Crambidae) found in Denmark. The total number of Macrolepidoptera species recorded from Denmark is 978, bringing the number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2607 species. This is the 40th article in the series of yearly lists of Microlepidoptera from Denmark published in Entomologiske Meddelelser.

Faun.-Ökol.Mitt. Summary This paper presents a list of “microlepidoptera” new for Schleswig-Holstein (northern Germany) and in one case ( Ectoedemia albibimaculella (Larsen, 1927)) new for Germany, referring to a compilation by GAEDIKE & HEINICKE (Eds.) 1999. The species mentioned were not caught in the field but detected in museum-material of earlier collectors in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. For some species of faunistic interest colour illustrations are given.

Fund af småsommerfugle fra Danmark i 2008 (Lepidoptera) Otto Buhl, Per Falck, Ole Karsholt, Knud Larsen & Flemming Vilhelmsen Buh!, 0., P. Falck, O. Karsholt, K. Larsen & F. Vilhelmsen: Records of Micro lepidoptera from Denmark in 2008 (Lepidoptera). Ent. Meddr 77: 65-81. Copenhagen, Denmark 2009. ISSN 0013-8851. This artide reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2008, and inelude remarkable findings from previous years. The classification and nomenelature follow the Danish catalogue (Karsholt & Sta de! Nielsen, 1998) which is basedon the European checklist (Karsholt & Ra zowski (eds.), 1996) . Two species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: l) Caloptilia fidella (Reutti, 1853) (Gracillariidae). Several specimens were taken on theIsland of Bornholm in two different localities both as adults and larvae. 2) Scrabipalpula tussilaginis (Stainton, 1867) (Gelechiidae). The species has been found as lar va and adult at five different localities in Lolland, Zealand and Bornholm. The host plant is Tussilaga farfara. No specimens have been found in collections and tussilaginis is regarded as a recent immigrant. Phyllonarycter cerasicalella (Herrich-Schaffer, 1855) ( Gracillariidae) has re cently been raised to species level by Triberti (2007) and as a consequence of that i t is reintroduced to the list. A population of Caloptilia hemidactylella (D. & S.) has been found in South Jutland on Acer platanaides and on Acer campestre. Two tropical species ofPyralidae, Hypargyria metalliferella Ragonot, 1888 and Diplopseustis perieresalis (Walker, 1859), were taken in lighttrapsin Denmark. It is a question whether they are introduced species or migrants. A spedallist of species with uncertain status is introduced. The Palm Borer, Paysandisia arehan (Burmeister, 1880) is reported from one larva and one adult, both found o n palms ( Trachycarpus fortune) probably in troduced from Italy.

Results of two lepidopterological surveys carried out on the Tlustec Hill near Mimoň in the Liberec Region in 1985–1988 and in 2007 are presented. Deciduous forests are predominant habitats at the site, plant com- munities belong to the Tilio-Acerion and Fagion aliances. In total, 616 species of butterflies and moths were found. In 2007, moth communities were studied quantitatively with the use of portable light traps and the dominance of captured species was calculated. The following significant species associated with natural deciduous forests showed higher levels of dominance (more than 1% frequencies in the quantitatively assessed sample) calculated per single excursion: Bucculatrix thoracella (Thunberg, 1794), Caryocolum blandellum (Douglas, 1852), C. tricolorellum (Haworth, 1812), C. huebneri (Haworth, 1828), C. kroesmanniellum (Herrich-Schäffer, 1854), Gelechia sestertiella Herrich-Schäffer, 1854, Epagoge grotiana (Fabricius, 1781), Pammene aurita Razowski, 1991, Parectropis similaria (Hufnagel, 1767), Ptilodon cucullina (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775), Pechipogo strigilata (Linnaeus, 1758) and Brachylomia viminalis (Fabricius, 1776). Subdominant occurrence of Hepialus fusconebulosus (De Geer, 1778) and Perizoma didymatum (Linnaeus, 1758) corresponds with azonal character of the top of the Tlustec Hill. Coleophora filaginella Fuchs, 1881 was recorded in the Czech Republic for the first time.
