His original compositions are standards in the repertoire of these ensembles as well as frequently performed selections by many orchestras and bands throughout the world. For over thirty years, Richard Hayman served as the chief arranger for THE MUSIC OF HENRY MANCINI the Boston Pops Orchestra during Arthur Fiedler’s tenure, providing special arrangements for dozens of their hit albums and famous singles. Under John Williams’ direction, the orchestra continues to programme his award- winning arrangements and orchestrations. Though more involved with the symphony orchestra circuit, Richard Moon River • The Pink Panther • Charade Hayman served as musical director and/or master of ceremonies for the tour shows of many popular entertainers: Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Olivia Newton-John, Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck, The Carpenters, The The Days of Wine and Roses • Beaver Valley ’37 Osmonds, Al Hirt, Andy Williams and many others. Richard Hayman and His Orchestra recorded 23 albums and 27 hit singles for Mercury Records, for which he and many others served as musical director for twelve years. Dozens of his original compositions have been recorded by various artists all over the world. He has also arranged and conducted recordings for more than 50 stars of the motion Richard Hayman and His Orchestra picture, stage, radio and television worlds, and has also scored Broadway shows and numerous motion pictures. -

Ryan Leach is a skateboarder who grew up in Los Angeles and Ventura County. Like Belinda Carlisle and Lorna Doom, he graduated from Newbury Park High School. With Mor Fleisher-Leach he runs Spacecase Records. Leach’s interviews are available at Bored Out (http://boredout305.tumblr.com/). Razorcake is a bi-monthly, Los Angeles-based fanzine that provides consistent coverage of do-it-yourself punk culture. We believe in positive, progressive, community-friendly DIY punk, and are the only bona fide 501(c)(3) non-profit music magazine in America. We do our part. Lead singer, guitarist, and figurehead Jeffrey Lee Pierce fits in easily with Tthe genius songwriting of Arthur Lee (Love), Chris Hillman (Byrds), and John Doe and Exene (X). Unfortunately, neither he nor his band achieved the notoriety of his fellow luminary Angelinos. From 1979 to 1996, Jeffrey manned the Gun Club ship through thick and mostly thin. Understandably, the initial Fire of Love and Miami lineup of Ward Dotson (guitar), Rob Ritter (bass), Jeffrey Lee Pierce (vocals/ guitar) and Terry Graham (drums) remains the most beloved; setting the spooky, blues-punk template for future Gun Club releases. At the time of its release, Fire of Love was heralded by East Coast critics as one of the best albums of 1981. -

Kan man verkligen kalla något kristen metal? Heavy metal är ju en rebellisk reaktion mot en samhällsstruktur av människor som inte känner sig hemma där. Och kristendomen är ju en religiös rörelse som står för ordning, reda, renhet och kärlek. Eller? Syftet med denna studie är har varit att studera likheter och skillnader i låtstruktur, dynamik och klangfärg mellan kristna och sekulära metalband och se om de används på samma sätt i förhållande till texten. Jag har gjort en komparativ analys av låtar av kristna och sekulära metalband och tittat på möjliga likheter och skillnader. Detta innefattar även en konstnärlig del där jag, i relation till det analyserade materialet, skrivit två låtar själv och dokumenterat dessa i klingande form. Som material till denna studie har jag använt mig av vetenskapliga artiklar, låtmaterial samt intervjuat pastor Bob Beeman från Nashville, som är en av pionjärerna bakom kristen metal.
