The Bajkul Milani Mhaavidyalaya was established on 3rd September 1964 as a Government sponsored College under the Calcutta University. It has come under the preview of the Vidyasagar University with effect from 1985. The site of the College has a charming view in the background of a luxuriant landscape of nature. It is situated by the side of the Kolkata-Digha highway (NH-116B Nandakumar-Digha highway), and Digha –Tamluk- --Howrah and Digha –Tamluk-Panskura- (S.E) railway has passed away embracing the College campus. VII. Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC): In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution’s system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the post accreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. Maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness is crucial in Higher Educational Institutions. Internal Quality Assurance Cell in fact, is conceived as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level. Every Higher Educational Institution should have an Internal Quality Assurance System with appropriate structure and processes and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The internal quality assurance mechanism of the institution may be called “Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)”. The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring quality assurance and quality enhancement activities of the Higher Educational Institution. The IQAC may channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. It should be yet another hierarchical structure or record keeping exercise in the institution; it would be a facilitative and participative organ of the institution. The IQAC should become a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality. Our college, Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya has an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) which is duly constituted following the UGC guidelines to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders and to fulfill the specific objectives of the cell. The IQAC of the college was established in accordance with the guidelines of NAAC on 3rd March, 2007. The IQAC meet at least three to four times every year. In IQAC meetings, a discussion regarding implementing of various recommendations of the NAAC peer team is done and the relevant resolutions are forwarded to the Governing Body for implementation. Implementation is done in collaboration with all sections of the college. Meetings of the IQAC members with teaching, non-teaching staff members and students are also held to exchange views and communicate with all stakeholders and to make them well aware about the activities of IQAC for Quality enhancement.

 Vision of College IQAC: To make quality the defining element of higher education in India through a combination of self  and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives.  Mission of College IQAC:

8. OTHERS: I. Alumni Association:  About Alumni Association: Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association is official alumnus society of Midnapore this college. This Association is Govt. Registered (Regd. No: S0264228 of 2017-18 under Certificate of Registration of Societies, West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961) Society and started its journey in 2007.

 History of Association: Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya has been carrying on a glorious past, flourishing present and keeps far reaching prospective future in the fields of academic activities, employment hearth and socio-cultural responsibility. The first practical attempt to build a forum for the ex-students was in 1990s. Unfortunately, there is no recorded history of such attempt prior to this. However, during 2000s an attempt was made to organize the ex-students and that attempt had been continuing for two or three years. The initiative was mainly taken from the time of Ajoy Kumar Samanta, Chitta Ranjan Ghorai, Swadesh Ranjan Pramanik, Rabin Chandra Mondal, Ananda Mohan Pradhan and Nityananda Parua, the distinguished ex-students of this College. Unfortunately, there was transient ebb on the first euphoria of reunion of students mainly for financial crisis and also for the dearth of workers for the purpose. With its frail attempt the association began working and made its existence palpable by voicing forth the demand for development and potential cum prosperous journey of the institution. In 2011, a fresh attempt was made to reorganize the Alumni Association. This was possible at the initiative of the then TIC, Dr. Satya Narayan Sau An ad hoc committee was formed of those who convened the first general meeting on the basis of membership drive. A large number of ex-students became life members. Then a new committee comprised President, Vice President, Secretary and an executive committee. In the Annual General Meeting a constitution prepared by alumni pathfinders was accepted. The committee laid down a clear perspective of its aims and objectives. It aimed at academic development of the students and demanded for a sustainable and glorious development of the institution. It continued its effort to introduce Post-Graduate courses in the College. Bajkul College Alumni Association has at present hundreds of life members and more than one hundred annual members. The number of involved alumnus is growing spontaneously as huge number of students is leaving the college every year after their graduation. The vibrant presence of the Association is to be felt in its Annual General Meeting, every year. The role of the association in celebrating the 50th foundation year of the college is commendable and needs to be mentioned specially. Actually speaking that function had been very successful due to the participation of the alumnus. The Association constructed a commemorative gate dedicated on that occasion in a befitting manner. The rainbow arch cast a splendour upon the outward appearance of the college thus additing to its general gait. The Association of a college like ours must bridge the gap between the past and the present and steer firmly for the days to come. It needs the vibrant presence of more youths with energy and passion. We look forward to the bright days to come with supportive gestures from all well-wishers and alliances of this rurban Institution.
