Getting around Brisbane Public transport will require go card or paper ticket. For more information on go card, visit the Translink website. Attendees are also advised to download the Translink app or Google Maps (which is integrated with Translink). Airport to City Taxi / Uber Taxis are available 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside the Domestic and International Terminals. • At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in the front of the Terminal building. • At the International Terminal, you will find the cab rank at the northern end of the Terminal, through the doors and out to the left. Brisbane has two taxi companies: • Black & White Cabs: 13 22 22 • Yellow Cabs: 13 19 24 Train The Airtrain is a quick and easy option for getting to and from the airport. Brisbane Airport is just 20 minutes by train from the city. Train services run every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes off-peak periods. • Weekdays: 5:04am - 10:04pm • Weekends: 6:04am - 10:04pm To use this service you can purchase tickets at the Airtrain desks in each of the terminals, or at the Airtrain stations. Airtrain also offers great savings for booking online and in advance. Airtrain services also accept go card. City to UQ The conference will be held at the Queensland Brain Institute (Building 79), located on The University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus. Bus From Brisbane's CBD, the following bus routes travel to the St Lucia campus: • 411, via Toowong • 412, via Toowong • 192, via West End • 66, via South Bank Routes 411 and 412 will stop at Chancellors Place bus stop (right next to QBI). Routes 192 and 66 will stop at UQ Lakes, requiring a 10-minute walk across campus to QBI. Ferry The CityCat also travels from Brisbane’s CBD to the St Lucia campus, stopping at the following terminals along the way (in order as indicated on map): • Riverside (10 minute walk to Howard Smith Wharves) • QUT Gardens Point (Riverstage, City Botanic Gardens) • South Bank (Queensland Performing Arts Centre, The Queensland Museum, Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library of Queensland, and the Wheel of Brisbane). • North Quay (Treasury Casino, Brisbane City Hall, King George Square, and Queen Street Mall) • Milton (café strip along Park Road, or 15 minute walk to XXXX Brewery) • Regatta (Toowong Village, and heritage-listed Regatta Hotel) • Guyatt Park (barbecues, gazebos, free Wi-Fi) • West End (20 minute walk to Boundary Street) • UQ Lakes, St Lucia (10 minute walk to QBI) Further details about public transport options to/from the St Lucia campus can be found here: https://future-students.uq.edu.au/getting-around-st-lucia Taxi / Uber Private car services can pick-up adjacent to Chancellors Place bus stop (right next to QBI). QBI to Social Function A 10-minute walk across campus will take you from QBI to Saint Lucy caffé e cucina. .
