Brown became the ^ Ranking indicated in 2011 Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 11th player in program history to rush for 1,000 yards in a career as Poll (Aug. 8) he now stands at 1,145. In addition, he is a dual threat out of the backfi eld as he has 27 career receptions for 404 yards. Add in his 809 kickoff return yards, and Brown has 2,358 career all- purpose yards. Not since Kevin Bradshaw (1990-92) has Union had such a triple threat. Bradshaw rushed for 1,663 yards, caught 93 career passes for 1,222 yards and amassed 1,095 yards in kickoff returns and 802 yards in punt returns. In all, Bradshaw tallied a school-record 4,782 all-purpose yards.

Boyington Garners National Award P/K Chad Boyington (SR, 5-9, 176) was named a Beyond Sports Network Special Teams Player of the Week. Boyington averaged 48.2 yards per punt in last week’s 27-0 win over visiting Kentucky Christian. He launched two 50-plus-yard punts with a long of 58 yards. Boyington had one touchback and pinned the Knights inside the 20 once. In addition to his punting, Boyington also was a perfect 3-for- 3 on PATs and he rushed for 24 yards and fi rst down on a fake punt early in the fi rst quarter.
