November den Weissenhäuser Strand – Autor FRANK SCHÄFER liest aus seinen Metal Störies! Festival-Line up wächst damit auf 25 Konzerte und eine Lesung an. Festivals im Sommer? Kann doch jeder! Beim METAL HAMMER PARADISE kracht es deswegen am 15. und 16. November. Aber nicht nur hinsichtlich des Termins ist dieses Festival anders als die anderen. Beim METAL HAMMER PARADISE trifft Schwermetall auf Wellness, grollende Gitarren auf säuselnde Ostseewellen, Festivalstimmung auf Urlaubsfeeling. Frisch bestätigt für das Komfort-Metal-Festival (wer hier einen Widerspruch sieht, sollte am 15. und 16. November unbedingt am Weissenhäuser Strand vorbeischauen) sind drei neue Bands: LACUNA COIL, DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT und DRONE. Ebenfalls neu, aber mit etwas weniger Phon als die Live-Konzerte: Die Lesung von FRANK SCHÄFER, der aus seinen Metal Störies liest, den „heißesten Scheiß auf Gottes großer Festplatte“. Mit den drei musikalischen Neuankömmlingen ist die Zahl der Live-Konzerte auf 25 angewachsen, mehr als 30 Stunden Live-Metal erwartet die Festival-Besucher bei der Erstausgabe des METAL HAMMER PARADISE. Dazu kommen noch jede Menge Partys, ein abwechslungsreiches Spaß- und Freizeitprogramm inkl. (040) 853 88 888 ∙ www.fkpscorpio.com FRANK SCHÄFER (Lesung) Heavy Metal gilt vielen, gerade den vermeintlichen Pop-Kennern, als nicht satisfaktionsfähig. Zu brachial der Sound, zu simpel die Texte, zu albern die Inszenierung der meist langhaarigen Musiker – so lautet oft das Urteil. Wie ignorant dies ist, zeigt das Buch “Metal Störies – Der heißeste Scheiß auf Gottes großer Festplatte” von Frank Schäfer. Darin erzählt der Autor, 1966 geboren, vom Aufwachsen in der westdeutschen Provinz, vom ersten Golf mit übersteuerter Musikanlage, wilden Festival-Erfahrungen, Luftgitarrengeschwadern – und der Rolle, die Death Metal bei der Bewältigung von Liebeskummer spielen kann. Wer das hört, dem wächst Heavy Metal nicht nur zwangsläufig ans Herz. Man versteht auch, worum es dieser Musik und ihren Fans geht. LACUNA COIL Auftritte auf dem Wacken Open Air und Rock am Ring, Headliner-Touren rund um den Globus, sechs Studioalben – eigentlich wäre es angebracht, Lacuna Coil als alte Hasen zu bezeichnen. Allerdings würde das nicht der Ausstrahlung von Cristina Scabbia gerecht, die nach wie vor nicht nur fesch anzuschauen ist, sondern auch zweifellos zu den besten Sängerinnen der Metal-Szene gehört. Die Musik Lacuna Coils bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle von Gothic und Alternative Metal, ist dabei stets klischeefrei und lebt vom stimmlichen Kontrast, den Cristina Scabbia und ihr Kollege Andrea Ferro erzeugen. Beeinflusst wurden die Mailänder durch Düsterkapellen wie Paradise Lost und Type O Negative. Aber auch Depeche Mode haben im Sound von Lacuna Coil ihre Spuren hinterlassen – ihr Cover des Depeche Mode-Hits ‚Enjoy The Silence’ gehört noch immer zu den bislang besten Interpretationen der Synth-Rocker und wird mit Sicherheit auch beim METAL HAMMER PARADISE zu hören sein. Il sound incalzante unito alla splendida voce della lead singer Cristina Scabbia hanno coinvolto il pubblico in una performance che ha spaziato dai brani del nuovo album ai principali successi come “Heaven’s a Lie”, “Trip the Darkness” e la splendida cover del singolo dei Depeche Mode “Enjoy the Silence”. Prima dei Lacuna Coil, sul palco si sono alternati quattro gruppi rock e metal del Tigullio e dintorni, in linea con l’obiettivo originario del Festival di valorizzare le band emergenti locali: ecco quindi Last Night Hotel, Stormwolf, Stramonia e Fumonero, tutti artefici di apprezzate esibizioni.     Lacuna Coil venerdì 1 luglio 2016, ore 21:45 Postepay Sound – Piazzola sul Brenta (Padova) Torna in concerto una delle formazioni Alternative Metal italiane più apprezzate nel mondo. Eccezionalmente all’Anfiteatro Camerini di Piazzola sul Brenta, la band capitanata da Cristina Scabbia ha condiviso palchi e festival assieme a Ozzy Osbourne, System of a Down, Megadeth, Linkin Park e DragonForce. E’ uscito il nuovo album in studio, “Delirium”; il disco, ottava prova discografica dei Lacuna Coil, è stato prodotto dagli stessi componenti della band, guidati dal bassista Marco Coti Zelati, ed è stato registrato al BRX Studio di Milano tra dicembre 2015 e febbraio 2016 assieme al batterista americano Ryan Blake. Ancora una volta, la band è stata supportata dall’ingegnere del suono Marco Barusso – al fianco dei Lacuna Coil già per “Dark adrenaline” e “Karmacode” – per le fasi di mixing. “Delirium” contiene un totale di 11 brani inediti. Svelati anche gli opening act dei Lacuna Coil: hanno già aperto concerti importanti come quelli della Black Label Society, WASP, Zakk Wylde e Gus G. Sono nativi di Pordenone ma la dimensione del loro suono è totalmente internazionale. Il loro ultimo album Daydreamin’ sta facendo il giro d’Italia e del web, ottenendo riscontri molto positivi.Il nome del gruppo è STARSICK SYSTEM.
