Welcome to Shaoxing, the Oriental Water City! Located in the eastern part of China, Shaoxing is an ancient city with a history of more than 2,500 years and a heritage of rich culture. We sincerely invite competitors and friends from all over the world to come to Shaoxing to participate in the 2019 ICF Canoe Marathon Mas- ters World Championships. Shaoxing has a tradition and gained good achievements in sports. It is the hometown of Meng Guanliang who won two Olympic gold medals in canoeing. We will do everything to make you enjoy the unique charm of the ancient city and leave a good memory in your life. We sincerely look forward to your arrival!

II. GENERAL INFORMATION
1． City introduction Shaoxing is located in the northeastern area of Zhejiang Province, bordering Ningbo in the east and adjacent to Hangzhou in the west. With a history for over 2,500 years and its " " profound culture, Shaoxing is honored as the Museum without Walls . It is one of the first historical and cultural cities ratified by the State Council of China. Shaoxing has been long renowned for being the town of canals, bridges, yellow wine and orchids. The venue of the World Championships is located at the Didang Lake. It covers an 2 2 area of about 2.47 km , including 1.13 km of water. It is located in the downtown of Shaoxing.

3. Weather With its subtropical monsoon climate, Shaoxing weather is warm and moist with four dis- tinct seasons. The average annual temperature is 16.5C (61.7F). The average annual rainfall is 1438.9 millimeters (56.6 inches). During October, the temperature is comfortable and suitable for outdoor sports.

4. How to get to Shaoxing (Host City) - Airports There are two international airports near Shaoxing: 1.Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH). It is about 30 kilometers away from Shaoxing, by car 45 minutes. (website: http://www.hzairport.com/en/ ) Shuttle from/to Xiaoshan International Airport is possible with an interval of 70 minutes, taxi is possible at 150 RMB for one-way trip. 2.Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It is about 232 kilometers away from Shaoxing, by car appr. 3 hours. (website: http://www.shanghaiairport.com/index_en.html ); Shuttle from/to Shanghai Pudong International Airport is possible with 4 shuttles every day. 3.In order to reduce travel time, we recommend you to choose in priority Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. -High-speed trains Beijing, Shanghai and other cities have direct trains to Shaoxing North Railway Station. From Shaoxing North Railway Station, you can take the BRT Line 1, BRT Line 3, No.15 Bus and No.16 Bus to the city center, taxi is possible at 35 RMB for one way trip. -The organizing committee will also provide airport shuttle services as described in Section VI below.

IV.COMPETITION INFORMATION
1. Provisional Dates & Program 2019 ICF Canoe Marathon Masters World Championships will be held on October 14-15 at the Didang Lake in Shaoxing.

*Masters detailed timetable (by age groups) will be published after the deadline of the en- tries. If there are no entries in the double, we have a morning Single races on Monday and Tuesday.
2.Course The race will take place at the Didang Lake. The start and finish line and the portage will be in the same area.

M 3. Rules for Marathon World Championships asters A valid Masters World Championships is held only if there at least four competitors (4) in the event. If during the course of the event some competitors drop out or do not finish, the validity of the Championships is not affected.
If the above criteria not achieved seven (7) weeks before the first day of the competition (August 26th) the event will not be a World Championships. They may still be held but will have Masters World Cup classification.
For the masters World Championships in Shaoxing the World Championships events will be limited to the following singles classes.
Men K1, C1 Women K1, C1
Races will be paddled according to ICF Rules:
-Only members of clubs or associations affiliated with an ICF National Federation have the right to participate in an international competition. -A competitor is always allowed to take part individually in an international competition, but must in each case obtain special permission from his/her National Federation. -A competitor can compete in a Masters event in the year he or she reaches the lower limit of the age category, i.e. in the 35-39 age group in the year of his or her 35th birthday.
-In K2, C2 events the age of the youngest competitor will control the category in which a crew can compete. -Age group categories will commence from age 35-39 an increase upward in 5-year age intervals.
Groups: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 etc+ There is no limit of entries per country in each race. Organization will allow Athletes from different countries compete in K2 or C2.

V.DEADLINES, ENTRIES & REGISTRATION
All entries must be made online. Entries can be only submitted individually and payment will be required at the time of the entry.

11 VI.ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is 50 Euros for one day racing, and 70 euro for 2 racing days, entry fee is per person.
This entry fee includes: •Accreditation costs, a race packet (containing T-shirt, souvenir, etc); •Fees for the use of the venue and its facilities; ; •WiFi at the venue •Medical care at the venue; •Security service at the venue; •Supply of drinking water at specific locations at the Venue; •Insurance during the competition; ; •Access to other services and equipment at the venue •Transportation service for arrival and departure between Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shaoxing North Railway Station and the New Century Grand Hotel.

VII.ACCOMMODATION AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT
1.Accommodation The designated hotel for the masters will be New Century Grand Hotel (15 minutes drive from the venue), address: No. 278, Renmin East Road, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China. Website: www.kaiyuanhotels.com Price: Twin bed room or Single room: 55 Euros per day including breakfast. The price is valid from October 7 to October 13 and October 16 to October 20.
2.Catering Lunch: 10 Euros per ticket, served at New Century Grand hotel, with free bus shuttle from the venue and the New Century Grand hotel. The organizing committee do not provide dinner service, but you can find a catering guide on our website.
3.In order to facilitate the payment and management, the Organizing Committee provide also an All-In-One Package if you stay in our designated hotel. If you apply for a double room, the package is 65 Euros per person per day. If you apply for a single room, the pack- age is 85 Euros per person per day. (Between October 13 and October 16, the price is the same.) This package fee includes: -Accommodation; -Lunch and dinner.
4.Transport service Transportation service for arrival and departure between Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shaoxing North Railway Station and the New Century Grand Hotel will be provided for the atheletes. For athletes’ family or friend, charged services will be provided upon request. The charge rate for Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is 15 euros per person, for Shanghai Pudong International Airport is

50 Euros per person for a round trip. Please inform the organizing committee of your flight number, arrival/departure time and all other information by filling in the Info Form in appendix I if you need our service. During the competition days (October 13-15th), free round-trip shuttle bus service from New Century Grand Hotel and the Venue will be provided.
5.Account information *All the accommodation fee, transport service fee, meals fee have to be paid to the organi- zation by bank transfer. *You are kindly requested to print the bank remittance and take it with you when check in. *Your reservation will be successful when we receive the advance payment. *When your fee is fully charged, the organizing committees will send an electronic confir- mation notice.

IX. OTHER INFORMATION
1.Visa Participants from countries, for which the possession of a Visa is required, upon request, will receive a confirmation letter from the Chinese Canoe Association, once their participa- tion is confirmed. For those participants who need visas to enter China, you are kindly requested to send a photocopy of the first page of their passports and fill out the Visa Info Form in Attachment II. Then send them to the Chinese Canoe Association before September 2nd, 2019. (Last date for a request)

2.Insurance & Medical Care All participants are strongly advised to have appropriate medical insurance from their respective countries. A First Aid and Emergency Medical Service will be available at the course. A Hospital nearby the venue will be on standby to cover the needs during the event. All situation of hospital services provided in our public health care service must be paid directly by the athlete.
3.Boat Rental & Containers -The official rental service for this event will be provided by ICF’s partner Nelo, all queries should be made at http://www.nelorental.com/events/2019-icf-canoe-marathon-world- championships.

-The Organizing Committee will provide K1 and C1 (not Nelo boats) for free. If you need to use our boats, please make a reservation by email before September 2nd, and pay a de- posit of 1000 RMB on-site by cash which will be returned if there is no damage, refer to Appendix IV for some boats pictures and information, the boats will be available after Oc- tober 10th, reservation email address: [email protected] Note: Due to the limited number of free boats available, these will be allocated on a first- come, first-served basis until the allocation is exhausted.
-Container Transportation -Transport service is available by Nelo. Boats will be collected at the European Champion- ships Marathon Dezice (20-28 July). -Pro Wave GmbH will also be available for boat transportation, please feel free to contact them: Refer to Appendix II for more details.
