Account Information The Organization Committee of the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships 2019 have the pleasure to present you Bulletin for Asian Championships marathon In this document you will find information about the race course and facilities, accommodation details, provisional timetable, everything to help you plan your participation in advance. This race is part of the World Championships marathon and only affiliated Asian NF’s ICF are allowed to participate in this World Championships. Maximum entries each class for the Asian Marathon Championships is 2 per nation. Located in the eastern part of China, Shaoxing is an ancient city with a history of more than 2,500 years and a heritage of rich culture. We sincerely invite competitors and friends from all over the world to come to Shaoxing to participate in the 2019 ACC Canoe Marathon Asian Championships. Shaoxing has a tradition and gained good achievements in sports. It is the hometown of Meng Guanliang who won two Olympic gold medals in canoeing. We will do everything to make you enjoy the unique charm of the ancient city and leave a good memory in your life.We sincerely look forward to your arrival! General Information 1.City introduction Shaoxing is located in the northeast area of Zhejiang Province, bordering Ningbo in the east and adjacent to Hangzhou in the west. With a history for over 2,500 years and its profound culture, Shaoxing is honored as the “Museum without Walls”. It is one of the first historical and cultural cities ratified by the State Council of China. Shaoxing has been long renowned for being the town of canals, bridges, yellow wine and orchids. The venue of the World Championships is located at the Didang Lake. It covers an area of about 2.47 km2, including 1.13 km2 of water. It is located in the downtown of Shaoxing. The average annual temperature is 16.5C (61.7F). The average annual rainfall is 1438.9 millimeters (56.6 inches). During October, the temperature is comfortable and suitable for outdoor sports. It is about 30 kilometers away from Shaoxing, by car 45 minutes, (website: http://www.hzairport.com/en/) Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It is about 232 kilometers away from Shaoxing, by car appr. 2 hours 45 minutes. (website: http://www.shanghaiairport.com/index_en.html) -High-speed trains Beijing, Shanghai and other cities have direct trains to Shaoxing North Railway Station. We provide transportation service between Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shaoxing North Railway Station and the designated hotels. The transportation fee is included in the participation fee. III. Competition Concept for Asian Nations The first Asian National Federation paddler who finished as first, will be Asian Championship. The ICF rules will be followed for this competition. The 2019 ACC Canoe Marathon Asian Championships will be held at the same time as the World Championships, and the ranking of the Asian Championships will be calculated separately. Entries and Other Information All team entries (numerical and nominal) must be made online through SDP system from ICF. Link: https://icf.msl.es/icf/main.jsp Entries can only be submitted by the National Federation through the online entries system SDP by the specified closing date (midnight European time / European summer time GMT +1 or GMT +2). Anyone having issues accessing the system should email [email protected] and specify their NF and the specific issue encountered, in advance of the closing date for entries. If there is any problem concerning the entries, please contact Ruud Heijselaar from Canoe Marathon Committee of ICF at [email protected] The entries system will be online and available during the following dates: Numerical entries until August 15th, 2019 Nominal entries until October 8th, 2019 Each team is requested to fill out all the information required in the “Info Form”, Iing coaches and accompanying personnel, and send it to Shaoxing Organizing Committee before August 26th, 2019: (also deadline VISA request) [email protected] Each team is requested to fill out all the information required in the “Info Form” published in Appendix I, including the information of coaches and accompanying personnel, and send it to [email protected] from June to September 7. Accommodation arrangements for Asian Nations New Century Grand Hotel (15 minutes from the course) [在此处键入] VI. Participation Fee (same conditions as World Championships) 1. In order to facilitate the payment and management, the Organizing Committee adopts a solution of All-In-One Package. If you apply for a double room, the package is 90 Euros per person per day. If you apply for a single room, the package is 110 Euros per person per day during the access period (week of the event 13- 20 October). This participation fee includes: • Accommodation; • Three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner; • Accreditation costs, a race packet (containing T-shirt, souvenir, etc); • Transport by shuttle buses between the venue and the hotels • Transport airports to/from hotels • Fees for the use of the venue and its facilities; • Wifi at the venue • Medical care at the venue; • Security service at the venue; • Supply of water at specific locations at the Venue; • Insurance during the competition; • Access to other services and equipment at the venue. 2. Considering that many teams will arrive in Shaoxing in advance, the Organizing Committee has set a lower fee for teams before and after the competition week, (the fee is only valid from October 7th to October 12th and October 21st to October 27th): - Only accommodation: double room 40 Euro/person/day; single room 60 Euro/person/day - Accommodation + lunch, dinner: double room 70 Euro/person/day; single room 90 Euro/person/day - If you arrive in Shaoxing in advance, the Organizing Committee will provide transport from airports to hotels and transport between the venue and the hotels will not be provided.
