Is self control something you struggle with? 4. Elsa and Anna have to be separated for Anna’s protection. Have you ever had a friend or a family member that you were close to who then became distant from you and you didn’t know why? What can we do when our relationships become strained with those we really care for? 5. When the gates at opened for Coronation Day, there is music and light and dancing and people. Have you ever been misunderstood? 8. When her powers are revealed, Elsa finally can be herself and let it go. Or do you hide yourself and pretend to be something you are not? 9. Anna goes to find Elsa with great trouble. She asks Kristoff to take her up the north mountain. They are chased by wolves and lose the sled. Kristoff says “this whole thing has ruined me from ever helping anyone ever again.” Sometimes when we help others, it might cause us some trouble or cost us. Has that ever happened to you? Name a time when helping someone was not very easy. What does Jesus expect us to do? 10. Olaf dreams of summer without any idea that summer would not be good for him. Sometimes we want things but others know it’s not good for us. Is it hard to understand that? Do we have a hard time listening to others? 11. What do we do when we face the mountain in our lives? 12. Kristoff’s family of trolls are the “love experts” and at first he is a little hesitant to introduce Anna and Olaf to his family who are trolls. His family sings about “people make bad choices if they are mad or scared or stressed but throw a little love their way and you’ll bring out their best.” “Love is a force that is powerful and strange.” Who has helped you be your best? Who can you help be their best? 13. The song “everyone’s a fixer-upper” is very true. God loves us just the way we are but too much to leave us this way. What can we do when someone turns out to not be what we thought they were? 16. “Love is putting someone else’s needs before yours.” What’s your definition of love? Anna puts Elsa before herself and is frozen when she sacrifices herself for Elsa when Hans tries to hurt Elsa. Love is what unfreezes the City of Arendelle. Olaf has a lot of wisdom when it comes to love. He says “I’m Olaf and I like warm hugs.” In the scene where Anna sacrifices herself for Elsa, and Anna comes back to life, Olaf says “Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.” How do we learn to love? It is easy to love? How do we love people that we don’t like? Prayer Dear Loving God, Thank you for loving us. Help us to love others, even those we don’t get along with. Thank you for making me special. Help me to grow and be more like Jesus. You are an amazing God with amazing love and we love you. In Jesus’ name, Amen .
