Gattung Brachycoleus F, 1858 Von den neun paläarktischen Arten kommen zwei im Gebiet vor. Brachycoleus decolor R, 1887 6,5-9,1 mm. Abb. 51, 52. Östliche Art, deren Areal aus dem sibirisch-zentralasiatischen Bereich über Russland bis in den nördlichen Mittelmeerraum und nach Mitteleuropa reicht. In Deutschland nur im Osten (von Ostmecklenburg bis Sachsen) und im Süden, sie fehlt im Westen nördlich der Mainlinie. Selten. In Österreich vor allem in den Tieflagen im Osten, dort lokal häufig. B. decolor lebt auf verschiedenen Apiaceae, vor allem an größeren Arten wie z. B. Peuceda- num oreoselinum oder Pastinaca sativa, aber auch auf Eryngium campestre. Die Art ist nur an warmen, sonnigen Standorten zu erwarten, sowohl auf Kalk- als auch auf Sandböden, vor allem die Erwachsenen halten sich meist auf den Blütenständen ihrer Wirtspflanzen auf. Die Ernährungsweise ist zoophytophag bis vorwiegend zoophag. Außer auf Apiaceae werden Ima- gines auch öfters auf Euphorbia und Centaurea gefunden. Die Überwinterung findet als Ei statt. An annotated checklist of the tribe Mirini (Miridae: Mirinae) recorded on the Korean peninsula is presented. A total of 113 species, including newly described and newly recorded species are recognized. Three new species, Apolygus hwasoonanus Oh, Yasunaga & Lee, sp. n., A. seonheulensis Oh, Yasunaga & Lee, sp. n. and Stenotus penniseticola Oh, Yasunaga & Lee, sp. n., are described. Eight species, Apolygus adustus (Jakovlev, 1876), Charagochilus (Charagochilus) longicornis Reuter, 1885, C. (C.) pallidicollis Zheng, 1990, Pinalitopsis rhodopotnia Yasunaga, Schwartz & Chérot, 2002, Philostephanus tibialis (Lu & Zheng, 1998), Rhabdomiris striatellus (Fabricius, 1794), Yamatolygus insulanus Yasunaga, 1992 and Y. pilosus Yasunaga, 1992 are re- ported for the fi rst time from the Korean peninsula. -

TREWICK defining feature of the Hexapoda, as the name suggests, is six legs. Also, the body comprises a head, thorax, and abdomen. The number A of abdominal segments varies, however; there are only six in the Collembola (springtails), 9–12 in the Protura, and 10 in the Diplura, whereas in all other hexapods there are strictly 11. Insects are now regarded as comprising only those hexapods with 11 abdominal segments. Whereas crustaceans are the dominant group of arthropods in the sea, hexapods prevail on land, in numbers and biomass. Altogether, the Hexapoda constitutes the most diverse group of animals – the estimated number of described species worldwide is just over 900,000, with the beetles (order Coleoptera) comprising more than a third of these. Today, the Hexapoda is considered to contain four classes – the Insecta, and the Protura, Collembola, and Diplura. The latter three classes were formerly allied with the insect orders Archaeognatha (jumping bristletails) and Thysanura (silverfish) as the insect subclass Apterygota (‘wingless’). The Apterygota is now regarded as an artificial assemblage (Bitsch & Bitsch 2000). -

Chlamydatus drymophilus Vinokurov, 1982 (Hemiptera, Miridae), a species new to the Estonian fauna. Norwegian Journal of Entomology 62, 9–11. The article presents data on the occurrence and distribution of Chlamydatus drymophilus Vinokurov, 1982 in Estonia. The species is new for the fauna of Estonia. Worldwide there are only a few records of C. drymophilus in Europe and northern part of Asia. However, due to its small size, the occurrence and distribution of the species is most probably under-recorded. The first known record ofC. drymophilus in Estonia is from 2012, at the drained bog of Laukasoo in the eastern part of the country. The second record was found in 2013, also from a bog habitat at Marimetsa bog, but in western Estonia. It seems that the species is associated with bog habitats and has a scattered distribution over the country. Key words: Heteroptera, Chlamydatus drymophilus, habitat, new records, Estonia. By its rarity in the Catalan fauna, the mirid Deraeocoris (D.) schach (Fabricius, 1781) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (N.) maculatus Fieber, 1851 are interesting species. Plus being rare species, the mirid Macrotylus (A.) solitarius (Meyer-Dür, 1843) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (S.) umbrinus (Wolff, 1804) are new records for the Natural Park. The mirids Alloetomus germanicus Wagner, 1939 and Amblytylus brevicollis Fieber, 1858, and the pentatomid Eysarcoris aeneus (Scopoli, 1763) are new contributions for the Park checklist. The Heteropteran richness of Can Coll suggests them as study group for the environmental education goals of this School of Nature. BOX 4766 1009 AT Amsterdam Nederland 2 Pollinating fauna of a phryganic ecosystem: species list Theodora Petanidou Department of Ecology, U.P.B. 119, School of Biology, Aristotelian University, Thessaloniki 54006, Greece Introduction Studies on the pollination biology of Mediterranean scrub vegetations (maquis and phrygana) are not available as yet on an ecosystem level. To analyse in detail the pollination food web of the phrygana, the vegetation and the pollinator fauna of a phryganic ecosystem near Athens has been continuously monitored during a period of fifty months, April, 1983 - May, 1987 (Petanidou, 1991). The study site, at Dafni, approx. 10 km W of the centre of Athens, was a 30 ha part of the Diomedes Botanical Garden of the University of Athens; see Petanidou & Ellis (submitted) for more details. The number of pollinator species amounted to 666, which is the highest pollinator alpha diversity recorded so far for any ecosystem. A large proportion of the fauna (262 species) consisted of bees. This underlines the uniqueness and high conservation value of the phrygana as such. Two species, viz. the Symphyta Macrophya teutona and Tenthredo zona are new to the fauna of Greece (P. -
