ISSN 1808-6810 Bioecologia, Monitoramento e Controle de Bonagota salubricola (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) em Macieira 97 Introdução A macieira Malus domestica Borkhausen é uma das principais frutíferas de clima temperado cultivadas no Brasil, com produção localizada principalmente nos Estados do Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina, que respondem por 98% da produção nacional (IBGE, 2012). Diversos fatores podem comprometer a exploração econômica da malicultura nesses Estados, merecendo destaque o ataque de insetos praga (KOVALESKI; RIBEIRO, 2003). A lagarta-enroladeira da macieira Bonagota salubricola (Meyrick, 1937) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) é uma das pragas chave por danificar os frutos desde o início da frutificação até a colheita (KOVALESKI, 2004; BOTTON et al., 2009). O emprego de inseticidas químicos ainda é o principal método de controle empregado pelos fruticultores. No entanto, a maioria dos inseticidas apresentam restrições quanto à toxicidade e à possibilidade de deixar resíduos tóxicos nos frutos (BOTTON et al., 2000a; THOMSON et al., 2001; KOVALESKI; RIBEIRO, 2003; KOVALESKI, 2004; Circular Técnica BOTTON et al., 2009). E-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT. Mass rearing of parasitoids depends on choosing appropriate alternative hosts. The objective of this study was to select alternative hosts to rear the parasitoid Palmistichus elaeisis Delvare & LaSalle, 1993 (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae). Pupae of the lepidopterans Anticarsia gemmatalis Hübner, 1818 (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), Bombyx mori Linnaeus, 1758 (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) and Thyrinteina arnobia (Stoll, 1782) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) were exposed to parasit- ism by females of P. elaeisis. The duration of the life cycle of P. elaeisis was 21.60 ± 0.16 and 24.15 ± 0.65 days on pupae of A. gemmatalis and B. mori, respectively, with 100.0% parasitism of the pupae and 71.4 and 100.0% emergence of parasitoids from the first and second hosts, respectively. The offspring number of P. elaeisis was 511.00 ± 49.70 and 110.20 ± 19.37 individuals per pupa of B. mori and A. gemmatalis, respectively. The reproduction of P. elaeisis from pupae of T. arnobia after six generations was similar to the other hosts. -

EVALUACIÓN DE LA TÉCNICA DE CONFUSIÓN SEXUAL PARA EL CONTROL DE LAGARTITAS (LEPIDOPTERA: TORTRICIDAE) EN FRUTALES DE PEPITA Valentina Martínez, Viviana Heguaburu, Alejandra Borges, Beatriz Scatoni y Andrés González Antecedentes 2012 - Programa de Manejo Regional de Plagas (PMRP) para el control de Cydia pomonella y Graphlita molesta mediante la técnica de confusión sexual, abarcando casi el 90% de la superficie frutícola. Permitió la disminución del uso de insecticidas, principalmente los de amplio espectro. Consecuencia: las lagartitas de los frutales, que eran controladas colateralmente, se convirtieron en plagas de gran importancia. Actualmente la mayoría de las aplicaciones que se realizan van dirigidas al control de estos lepidópteros. OBJETIVO Desarrollar una estrategia de control para las lagartitas de los frutales como alternativa al control químico convencional en los frutales de pepita. Garzón 780, 12900 Montevideo, Uruguay Neotropical Entomology 33(3):299-306 (2004) Biologia de Bonagota cranaodes (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) em Sete Dietas Naturais RESUMO - Foi avaliado, em laboratório, o efeito de sete dietas naturais sobre o desenvolvimento e a reprodução de Bonagota cranaodes (Meyrick). Os experimentos foram conduzidos a 23 ±1ºC de temperatura, 70 ± 10% de UR e fotoperíodo de 16:8h (L:E). As larvas foram criadas em macieira, videira e madresilva (Lonicera japonica). Para os dois primeiros alimentos foram utilizados três tipos de dietas: folhas de primavera, folhas de verão e frutos. O número de ínstares larvais variou entre cinco e sete. As larvas criadas em folhas de macieira apresentaram, de modo geral, menor número de ínstares, quando comparadas com aquelas criadas em folhas de videira e madresilva. A duração do desenvolvimento larval diferiu entre dietas. As larvas criadas em folhas de macieira-primavera apresentaram a menor duração e as criadas em frutos a maior duração. A sobrevivência de larvas foi menor em frutos que em folhas, principalmente em maçã (17,8%). As pupas fêmeas criadas em madresilva foram mais pesadas que as criadas nas demais dietas. O ciclo de ovo a emergência de adultos variou entre 41 dias em folhas de macieira-primavera e 60 dias em maçã. As fêmeas criadas em madresilva e folhas de macieira-primavera foram as mais fecundas, sendo que aquelas provenientes de maçã não ovipositaram.
