Nell’autodromo Riccardo Paletti di Varano de’ Melegari il pilota italo-svizzero della Eurointernational conquista la corona tricolore al primo match point con la vittoria di gara 1 per poi ripetersi anche nella gara del pomeriggio davanti a Walter Margelli (Norma Nannini Racing) così Vice-Campione assoluto. Terzo in gara 2, Filippo Vita conquista il terzo posto in campionato sulla Osella della Progetto Corsa. Danny Molinaro (Osella), primo sul traguardo di gara 1, è retrocesso secondo, mentre in gara 2 è costretto al ritiro quando era al comando. L’appuntamento con la serie tricolore ACI riservata alle affascinanti Sportscar è ora al 2016 con una nuova appassionante stagione di gare. Varano de’ Melegari, 25 ottobre 2015. Con una impressionante sequenza di risultati che lo ha visto 9 volte vincitore sulle 14 gare disputate, oltre che autore di sette pole position ed otto giri più veloci, Giorgio Mondini è il nuovo Campione Italiano Sport Prototipi. Una corona tricolore giunta a conclusione di una stagione lunga ed appassionante e che ha visto il suo ultimo atto nell’autodromo Riccardo Paletti di Varano de’ Melegari, sede in questo weekend del settimo round stagionale. Per il pilota italo-svizzero di Eurointernational il titolo assoluto arriva già al termine di gara 1, chiusa in prima posizione dopo la penalità in tempo inflitta a Danny Molinaro, reo di aver lasciato la corsia box con semaforo rosso e così retrocesso secondo d’ufficio. In gara 2 arriva il bis per il neocampione dopo l’uscita della Osella del giovane cosentino poi costretto al ritiro quando era al comando della gara.

    Christian Bakkerud dies in road accident 15.09.2011 Christian Bakkerud’s talents as a racing Driver became apparent early in his career, when back in 2000 and 2001 he frequently diced with illustrious names such as Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Robert Kubica in the Formula A and Super A classes. His best result came in the 2000 CIK-FIA World Cup for Formula A at Motegi (JPN) where he finished 4th. After his Karting years he progressed to Formula BMW, where he finished second in the rookie championship of the German series in 2002. Although Danish, he continued his racing for Carlin Motorsport in his adopted homeland, England, in 2005-06. This time in Formula 3, where he won a round of the prestigious British Championship in 2006, as well a scoring several podium finishes that year. In 2007 and 2008 he became the first Danish Driver to compete in GP2, but a serious back injury put a premature end to it. After recovering he then continued his sporting career in DTM and Le Mans prototype cars, where he finished an impressive 9th overall in the Le Mans 24 Hours 2009 in a privately entered Audi R10. In 2010 he returned once again to Le Mans, but after that race he decided to quit the sport. It was therefore a cruel twist of fate that he should succumb to severe head injuries after a road accident in London on Sunday, 11 September. He was only 26 years old. Christian was an immensely likeable person, who made friends wherever he went.
