Phillips 66 achieved 34% total shareholder return during 2019, which exceeded our peer group average and the S&P 100. In 2019, we delivered earnings of $3.1 billion and earnings per share of $6.77. Adjusted earnings were $3.7 billion or $8.05 per share. During the year, we generated $4.8 billion of operating cash flow. We reinvested $3.9 billionback into the business and returned $3.2 billion of capital to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases. We increased our quarterly dividend 12.5% and announced a $3 billion increase to our share repurchase program. Since our formation, we have returned $26 billion to shareholders through dividends, share repurchases and exchanges, reducing our initial shares outstanding by 33%. Operating excellence is our No. 1 priority and core to everything we do. Our goal is zero incidents, zero accidents and zero injuries. We believe this is attainable, and we strive for it daily. -

Global Production of Second Generation Biofuels: Trends and Influences Executive Summary For more than a century, fossil fuels have been the primary source of a wide array of products including fuels, lubricants, chemicals, waxes, pharmaceuticals and asphalt. In recent decades, questions about the impacts of fossil fuel reliance have led to research into alternative feedstocks for the sustainable production of those products, and liquid fuels in particular. A key objective has been to use feedstocks from renewable sources to produce biofuels that can be blended with petroleum-based fuels, combusted in existing internal combustion or flexible fuel engines, and distributed through existing infrastructure. Given that electricity can power short-distance vehicle travel, particular attention has been directed toward bio-derived jet fuel and fuels used in long distance transport. This report summarizes the growth of second-generation biofuel facilities since Dovetail’s 2009 report1 and some of the policies that drive that growth. It also briefly discusses biofuel mandates and second-generation biorefinery development in various world regions. Second generation biorefineries are operating in all regions of the world (Figure 1), bringing far more favorable energy balances to biofuels production than have been previously realized. Substantial displacement of a significant portion of fossil-based liquid fuels has been demonstrated to be a realistic possibility. However, in the face of low petroleum prices, continuing policy support and investment in research and development will be needed to allow biofuels to reach their full potential. -

While Comlux has revealed an order for two aircraft, four further jets were ordered by undisclosed customers. Entry into service of the first ACJ TwoTwenty by Comlux Aviation is targeted for early 2023. The new ACJ TwoTwenty will feature a high end VIP cabin interior, supported by a flexible cabin catalogue, from which Comlux has selected the business and guest lounge as well as a private entertainment space and a private suite, including a bathroom. The cabin, set to “Reimagine your place in the sky...” will be equipped with large full lie flat seats, a US-king size bed, a standing rainshower, a humidifying system for well-being on board and leading edge connectivity. “We are proud to be the launch customer of the Airbus’ newest family member, the ACJ TwoTwenty and the selected partner to outfit the cabin in our completion center in Indianapolis. Collective transport has undisputed benefits concerning space efficiency. Today, more than 90% of buses in Europe depend on diesel, calling for better environmental and post- fossil alternatives. Further electrification of public transport (in combination with green electricity production) is a core aspect of further improving the environmental profile of public transport. Investments in electrifying public transport have a particularly high impact since urban public transport vehicles run up to 16 hours per day, compared to less than one hour for the average conventional car. A single 18 m urban bus consumes about 40,000 litres diesel annually – equivalent to more than 100 tons of CO2! THE EU ELIPTIC project is looking at the electrification of urban buses as well as the improvement of energy performance in light rail and the multi-purpose use of infrastructure to support further electrification in transport. ELIPTIC is demonstrating technical approaches in 20 showcases with variations of electrified public transport under different operational, geographical and climate conditions. The demonstrations include new battery buses of high passenger capacity (18 m articulated) as they are increasingly in demand by public transport operators. Another concept is the combination of battery and trolley bus concepts, allowing to recharge batteries in operation (when connected to the overhead wires) and giving trolley bus cities an opportunity to extend the electric operation into areas without overhead wires. -

Sustainable Transport Systems: Linkages Between Environmental Issues, Public Transport, Non-Motorised Transport and Safety1 Dinesh Mohan and Geetam Tiwari Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Programme Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India INTRODUCTION A sustainable transport system must provide mobility and accessibility to all urban residents in a safe and environment friendly mode of transport. This is a complex and difficult task when the needs and demands of people belonging to different income groups are not only different but also often conflicting. For example, if a large proportion of the population can not afford to use motorised transport - private vehicles or public buses - then they have to either walk or ride bicycles to work. Provision of safe infrastructure for bicyclists and pedestrians may need segregation of road space for bicyclists and pedestrians from motorised traffic or reduction in speeds of vehicles. Both measures could result in restricting mobility of car users. Similarly, measures to reduce pollution may at times conflict with those needed for reduction in road accidents. For example, increases in average vehicle speeds may reduce emissions but they can result in an increase in accident rates. But, most public discussions and government policy documents dealing with transportation and health focus only on air pollution as the main concern. This is because air pollution is generally visible and its deleterious effects are palpable. It is easy for most people to connect the associations between quality of motor vehicles, exhaust fumes and increased morbidity due to pollution. But most individuals are not able to understand the complex interaction of factors associated with road accidents. -
