Cubbon Park "City's Major Green Lung"

The city's green lung, Cubbon Park is a botanical wonder, replete with thousands of plants and trees of various species. The park is officially called Sri Chamarajendra Park. However, the name Cubbon Park is the often seen name on most of the signboards here. Within the premises lie the KSLTA, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Government Museum, Jawahar Bal by Samson Joseph Bhavan and other prominent buildings. The park is home to several statues, including those of Queen Victoria and Sheshadri Iyer. The park serves as a recreational area for joggers as well as those who simply want to enjoy a peaceful stroll in the evening.

Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum "Fascinating Science Museum"

The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum was an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Culture, and was set up in 1960 as an independent entity supported by the National Council for Science Museums. The museum is named after Sir Visvesvaraya, the great by Amanjosan2008 engineer who has to his credit the KRS dam and University to name a few. The museum focuses mainly on science and has exhibits that trace the history of engines, biotechnological revolution, dinosaur exhibits, and science for children. It has shows like the fascinating Taramandal Show which is popular and has a separate entry fee. There is also a small store within the premises that sells scientific toys for children. The museum is a fun place to stop at with the family.

The diamond-shaped building of the Government Aquarium should be visited by those who are aroused by exotic aquatic life. These pretty and colorful shoal of fish are fun to look at when they keep darting across each other in their little wooden tanks. The aquarium has a small but interesting collection like the Black Ghost, Serpent Tetra, Gold Fish, Angel Fish, Flower Horn and the Blue Gourami. Ornamental and pet fishes too can be bought at the shop near the building. Bible Society of India "Divine Connection"

In existence from the mid 19th Century, the Bible Society of India's stone building was built many years ago and still stands witness to the evolving phases of Bengaluru city. It has even seen the time when the royal British entourage including the Queen herself visited this place. Bibles in different languages, especially India's southern languages were published by the Bible Society. In fact, the Bible was published for the first time in the language, just a few years after the society's establishment in Bengaluru. Different volumes of the Bible are available at the Karnataka Auxiliary, which is adjacent to the Bible Society's building on Mahatma Gandhi Road. The Bible Society of India has been involved in many welfare activates like creating special books in Braille and conducting welfare activities for AIDS-affected patients. The building is monumental and has an interesting history. This is a must visit when on M. G. Road.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planeterium "Starry Starry Nights"

The Jawaharlal was initially set up by the Municipal Corporation but later it passed under the directive of the Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE) in 1992. The planetarium has 'sky theater shows' that are very popular with school kids and starry-eyed lovers, who watch the sky projected on the dome as seen by our naked eyes. Besides this, the exhibition halls in the planetarium have something on Albert Einstein, the galaxy, cartoons, and photographs on scientific phenomenon related to the planets. There is also a science park in the premises that have structures of the DNA and vehicles that go into space. Located in the urban precinct of Basavangudi, Park is named after the colossal Bugle Rock that stands within the park. The rock, estimated to be at least 3000 million years old is a geological wonder and attraction in itself.
