MATT DUNKLEY - Composer & Orchestrator MATT DUNKLEY - Composer & Orchestrator Matt’s second feature was the Anglo-Belgian action thriller, Storm Force 10, about Special Forces that received its premiere at The Ghent Film Festival. His first was his score for The Four Musketeers, an Anglo-French movie directed by Pierre Aknine. His tv credits include the BBC 2010 10-part series Spirit Warriors; No 13, directed by John East for BBC 3; the BBC’s 6 part comedy drama series Rescue Me, for Tiger Aspect; he also arranged and produced the title song which was released on East West Records. He composed the music for ITV’s I Saw You, starring Fay Ripley; and the scores for the BAFTA-nominated ITV drama Safe as Houses starring Ricky Tomlinson and the Bafta award-winning pilot for I Saw You. As an orchestrator/lconductor Matt has worked on many major films, most recently Ricky Gervais’ first feature as writer/producer/director, This Side Of The Truth with composer Tim Atack; Iron Man (Marvel) and The Hulk (Universal) with Danny Elfman; Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor with Randy Edelman; composer Craig Armstrong on Oliver Stone’s World Trade Centre (Paramount); Must Love Dogs (Warner Bros); Love Actually (Working Title); Ray (Taylor Hackford/Crusader); Moulin Rouge (Baz Luhrmann/Fox); The Order (Brian Helgeland/Fox); The Bone Collector (Phillip Noyce/Universal); Kiss of the Dragon (Luc Besson/Fox); and The Quiet American (Phillip Noyce/Miramax); Baz Lurhman’s Moulin Rouge, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Basic Instinct 2. He worked on Bride & Prejudice (Pathe/Miramax) for composer Craig Pruess; Mindhunters (Renny Harlin/Dimension) for Toumas Kantelinen; and The Prince and Me (Martha Coolidge/Paramount) for Jennie Muskett. He has enjoyed a very successful long term collaboration with the superstar "Bollywood" composer A.R.Rahman on The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Meenaxi: Tale of Three Cities and orchestrated the Sony movie Warriors of Heaven and Earth for A.R. last year. This year he worked with him on Subash; The Last Hero and conducted the score in Prague. He also arranged and orchestrated an AR piece recorded by Vanessa Mae for Sony Records and earlier this year arranged and conducted a concert of AR’s film music at London’s Royal Festival Hall. In the pop field, Matt's arrangements have led to numerous top 10 international hits - including collaborations with artists such as Badly Drawn Boy, Catatonia, Amici Forever, Russell Watson, Melanie C, Pet Shop Boys, Tom Jones, Amici, Bond, Maxim and Elliott Smith as well as leading European artists including Hooverphonic and Eros Ramazotti. Matt studied trumpet and piano at the London College of Music and then went on to work with world-renowned film orchestrator Christopher Palmer. Matt has been sole orchestrator and conductor for top film composer Craig Armstrong since he started scoring major films on both sides of the Atlantic. Their collaboration has reaped many awards including 2 Baftas, a Golden Globe and 2 AFI's. He has conducted many leading orchestras including The London Sinfonietta, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. There are various languages in the world that have been created by Allah, one of them is English. English is used for many purposes around the world. Especially in Indonesia there are many reasons why it is important to learn. The most common reason is because of its role as a language of international communication. It is used in various aspects, such as in transportation, commerce, banking, tourism, and education.     Rob Freeman (center) recording Ramones at Plaza Sound Studios 1976 THIRTY YEARS AGO Ramones collided with a piece of 2” magnetic tape like a downhill semi with no brakes slamming into a brick wall. While many memories of recording the Ramones’ first album remain vivid, others, undoubtedly, have dulled or even faded away. This might be due in part to the passing of years, but, moreover, I attribute it to the fact that the entire experience flew through my life at the breakneck speed of one of the band’s rapid-fire songs following a heady “One, two, three, four!” Most album recording projects of the day averaged four to six weeks to complete; Ramones, with its purported budget of only $6000, zoomed by in just over a week— start to finish, mixed and remixed. Much has been documented about the Ramones since their first album rocked the New York punk scene. A Google search of the Internet yields untold numbers of web pages filled with a myriad of Ramones facts and an equal number of fictions. (No, Ramones was not recorded on the Radio City Music Hall stage as is so widely reported…read on.) But my perspective on recording Ramones is unique, and I hope to provide some insight of a different nature. I paint my recollections in broad strokes with the following… It was snowy and cold as usual in early February 1976. This project seeks to shed light on the importance of progressive Iranian contemporary arts through the vision of two of Iran’s most avant-garde female artists, Forough Farrokhzad and Sussan Deyhim. PERFORMANCE DURATION: Deyhim has created a series of non-linear poetic tableaux inspired by the poems of Forough Approximately 75 minutes Farrokhzad.
