Using the latest UTAUT version of technology acceptance models (UTAUT2), this study examines the effect of Performance Expectancy, Iran Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Social Influence, Price Value and Perceived Safety on acceptance and usage Users' acceptance of a newly introduced bicycle sharing system in Mashhad (MBSS), Iran. The mediating effect of intention to use MBSS on the relationship between these constructs and use behaviour was examined. A total of 600 ques- tionnaires were distributed at 128 MBSS stations of which 271 users responded. The result of a regression analysis indicated that intention to use MBSS was predicted by all the studied constructs except for Price Value, while a path analysis showed that through the Behavioural Intention, Facilitating Conditions was the only sig- nificant construct to influence Use Behaviour. Findings did not support age, income, education, and experience as moderating the relationships between the constructs and Behavioural Intention. This study recommends tracking the barriers of acceptance of bicycle sharing system by those population groups who do not use the system or use it less than the others. Moreover, findings of this study suggest improvements to Facilitating Conditions such as integration of public transport and MBSS, relocation of the stations to improve their (equity of) accessibility and, introducing motivational promotion campaigns, improving cycling social status, and improved customer service of staff may make MBSS more interesting for citizens. 1. Ko Chang, one of the main island attractions of Thailand, is suffering from congestion at its ferry piers due to the great flocks of tourists. Due to the low vehicle- carrying capacity of the ferry, the bottlenecks are observed especially over long weekends. Over volume of private cars that are cause of negative impact to tourist destination is overtourism phenomenon. The problem could be alleviated if the tourists could be encouraged to park their cars at the main land piers and walk on to the ferry. This study aims to find out the Thai tourist mode choice preference and develops a binary logit model with its objective to alleviate the congestion via the demand management strategies. The results show that the monetary cost and wait time in the queue are the primary and secondary factors affecting the tourist’s decision. It is also shown that almost half of the tourists would leave their cars on the mainland if 500-baht charge is applied with the 3 hour wait.     The Study for Broader Area Transport Infrastructure Development in Afghanistan and the Surrounding Countries Chapter 3 Future Regional Transport Network 3-1 Overview Upgrading a regional transport network not only promotes free trade within the region, but also contributes to development of rural areas difficult to be benefited from economic growth. From the viewpoint of a stable economic development of landlocked countries, importance of regional transport infrastructures has become a focal point and international organizations as well actively work to support it. In addition to capacities and capabilities of shipment ports, distance, cost, time and quality of transportation (timeliness, security, etc.) are determining factors of corridor values, which then define traffic flows and traffic volumes. Within a corridor, these also greatly influence route and transport mode selection. In particular, a longer transit time and a higher transport cost have long been obstacles to landlocked central Asian countries such as Afghanistan that handicapped local industry development and economic growth, which ultimately has become a constraint in improving quality of lives for people living in this region. This means if once new corridors are developed, trade facilitation is progressed, transportation is improved, and cost is reduced; these will open up greater future possibilities for this region. The effect of transport improvement is not limited to better efficiency of the transport sector; it also remakes the economic map of the region through increased trade flows, development and industrial locations of corridor areas and further enhances exchanges of information and cross border movements of people, as well as private investments. Figure 3.1 shows how the development of regional transport network, both software trade facilitation and hardware construction, reduces transit cost, increases trade and traffic flows, and then promotes local development.

Survey, Data Synthesis, and Other Applications 8. Traffic Safety 9. Transit Planning 10. Travel Behavior 11. Trend Analysis and Market Segmentation A one-page description of each paper is provided which includes the Title, Authors, Abstract, Subject Areas, and Availability. Research articles and reports in this document cover a diverse range of topics in the areas of transportation, health, safety, environment, and engineering and were published in various journals including, but not limited to, the American Journal of Public Health, the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, and the National Center for Transit Research.
