S.FRO, RC varam Rc.No.1012 /2OtB; Dt:31-12-2018. 6.FRO, Addateegala Rc.No.156/2012, dt.28.12.2OLB It is submitted that, the proposals for diversion of 7.42O ha Forest Land for Laying of WBM Road from Perikivalasa to Bhimudigedda passing ifrrougfr the Reserved Ft*ests of Kakinada Division for in favour of the Executive B,f,grneer, TW Division, Rampachodavaram were forwarded by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Andhra Pradesh, Guntur in the reference 1't cited, for examining and to submit the remarks and recommendations. Further, I submit that, the proposals were forwarded vide reference 4nd cited, to the Forest Range Officer, Rampachodavaram & Addateegala for field verification duly obtaining the hard copies from the user agencies vide reference 3'd cited. Accordingly, the Sub-Divisional Forest Officers, Rampachodururuln & yeleswaram and the Forest Range Officers, Rampachodavaram and Addateegala have submitted reports vide references 5th & 6th cited and the details are as follows. Further, the Site inspection was conducted on zg-L2-2olg & 09.09.2019 by me along with the Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, Rampachodavaram and the Forest Range Officer, Rampachodavaram. As per my field inspection and inspection report of the S,lb-Divisional Forest Officer, Rampachodavaram and the l&lxest Range Officer, Rampachodavaram and as per the proposals submitted by the user agency the following are the observations. The proposed area is passing through the Rampachodavaram Range (l.o42s ha) and Addateegala Range (3.9071 ha) i.e., total area in Kakinada division is 4.9496 ha. I. Rampachodavaram Ranoe: 1. The part of the road passes through Kota RF in Conlpartment no. 223 & 252 = 278o mtrs in Rampachodavaram Range and Balance area i.e., Bodlanka P'F in compt.nos.736, and Kota North iand II RFs in compt.Nos. L6O, 764 = 10419 mtrs passes through Addathegala Range. 2. The Misc. trees-147 nos has to be removed at both sides of road (59.607 cmt) and the value of trees is Rs.7,42,9L71- in Rampachodavaram Range. (statement enclosed) 3. As pe:r field verification length bf the road is 278.gfplrs and a width of 3.75 mtrs & the area required for providing the*7drd is about LO4Z1 (1.0425) ha in Rampachodavaram Range. 4. The average density of the adjoining forest is 0.8. The details are submitted hereunder in Rampachodavaram Range. Name of the Area in RF Ha Comp.no.223 1.0425 & 252 It is fufther submitted that, the user agency requested thb forest clearance on grounds that the road facilitates the transportation of food grains and other daily commodities and to avail the medical and educational facilities for the Interior tribal villages to the Mandal headquarters, Y.Ramavaram and Sub-Divisional head quarters. However, the proposed BT surface to the road from Perikivalasa to Bhimudigedda in East Godavari District will have adverse impacts in the form of Of*age to thick and dense vegetation of semi- evergreen ft#U-st, existing in the nearby Gomala konda and Yedla konda and habitat fragmentation of the wildlife habitats as leopards and Indian gaurs are reported and sighted in this area. Also, it may increase the probability of human-wildlife conflicts as a consequence of habitat destruction and fragmentation. The density of the surrounding forest is good & thus the orooosal is not recommended for diversion of 1.0425 ha in Comp.no.223 & 252, Kota RF in Chintalapudi Beat, Chintalapudi Section of RamRlchodavaram Range. II. Addateeqala Ranoe: i o 0 The road starts at N.L7.74096 E 81.85629 & ends at N.17.67772o E.81.825150. The Road is proposed through Bodlanka pF and Kota North I&II RF. Total length proposed is 10.419 KM to a width of 3.75 mtrs. Thus the total area required is 3.9071 ha. The main vegetation consists of Konda thangedu (Xylia xylocarpa), Nallamaddi (Terminalia tomentosa), Rose wood t (Dalbergia Latifolia), Gumpena (Lannea coromandeli&$*rea Details are as follows. Name of the RF Bodlanka 736,160,&164 PF & Kota North-l RF The proposed road from Perikivalasa to Bhimudigetda in East Godavari District is to a length of 10.419 km is falling in comp.No.,z36, t60 and 164 of Bodlanka PF and Kota North-I&II RF and the Density of vegetation is 0.5. The oE 0. proposed road starting with N.17.74090 81.95629 The Misc Trees 5o Nos has to be removed on both sides of road (16.os2 cmt) and the value of trees is Rs.2,34,352/- (Statement is enclosed). *!l*' The Providing BT surface to the road from Perikivalasa to Bhimudigedda in East Godavari District may have adverse impacts both on flora or fauna in this area and may cause environmental degradation by causing habitat destruction and fragmentation. The density of the surrounding forest is good & the proposal in the oresent shaoe is not recommended for diversiorf of L.0425 ha in Comp.no.223 & 252, Kota RF in Chintalapudi Beat, Chintalapudi Section of Rlmpachodavaram Range.
