News # 14 World Endurance / Albacete round 01 02 03 04 05 Dietrich - Foray - Sakai / SERT / Suzuki GSX -R SERT’s victory! Results 01 / Philippe-Sakai-Foray (Suzuki ERT) 02 / Saiger-Muff-Stamm (Kawasaki Bolliger) Whereas the 2010 World Championship had begun by a 03 / Jonchiere-Morillon (Honda N. Motos) big disappointment for the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) at the Le Mans 24-hour race (cf MSN 9), Philippe - Standings Foray - Sakaï totally relaunched their season by winning 01 / Bolliger Team Switzerland (Kawasaki – 38pts) the second round of the championship last weekend at the 02 / Yamaha Austria Racing (Yamaha – 36pts) Albacete 8 Hours. A victory won by gruelling it out since 03 / Team GSR (Kawasaki – 35 pts) the French Suzuki had been sent to the back of the pack 04 / SERT (Suzuki – 30 pts) following a collective crash at the beginning of the race. The Spanish round was moreover really extraordinary, since the National Motos Honda, of which Motul is also technical partner, took the third step on the podium after an intense battle. In the Superstock class, the BMW of the German Boeing Penz 13 team gave Motul another podium, by finishing third in this class. Stibilj-Penzkofer-Mizera / Team Boeing Penz13 / BMW S 1000 RR 2010 Motul . Sport . This was unfortunately not the case, with a difficult weekend Results for the teams of which Motul is technical partner. Indeed, 01 / Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) both Suzuki riders went down (Alvaro Bautista, injured during the test runs, did not take part in the race, and Loris 02 / Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) Capirossi crashed in turn 3) and the Tech3 riders were not 03 / Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) in top form (Ben Spies also fell and Colin Edwards couldn’t do better than 12th). Standings Motul France’s 450 guests however enjoyed an exceptional 01 / Jorge Lorenzo (70 pts) venue to appreciate the show, as well as several highlights 02 / Valentino Rossi (61 pts) like the anniversary evening marking the 15 years of par- 03 / Andrea Dovizioso (42 pts) tnership with the organiser of the Grand Prix de France or 08 / Colin Edwards (16 pts) autograph sessions with riders. Motul . Sport . News # 14 British SBK / Cadwell round 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 Michael Laverty / Team Suzuki Double podium for Laverty There’s no end to the improvement in Michael Laverty’s performances as the season advances! Riding the Relentless by TAS Racing team’s Suzuki, the English rider indeed scored a double podium (2nd, then 3rd) last weekend at the 4th round of the English Superbike Standings Championship. However, his growing confidence in his 01 / Tommy Hill (Suzuki – 146 pts) capacities led him to say he would be satisfied only if he 02 / Josh Brookes (Honda – 110 pts) took victory... Will that happen at Mallory Park in a month... ? 03 / Michael Laverty (Suzuki – 101 pts) His teammate Alastair Seeley finished, for his part, th9 and 7th. 07 / Alastair Seeley (Suzuki – 79 pts) Motul . Sport . News # 14 European FIA GT3 / Brno round 01 02 03 04 05 06 Team Hexis AMR / Aston Martin DBRS9 Hexis steering a steady course Alongside their GT1 World Championship programme (cf MSN 11), the Hexis AMR team has set off once more this year to win the GT3 European title, of which they are the current champion team. Team Standings For the second meet of the season last weekend at Brno, 01 / ARGO Racing (Lamborghini – 80 pts) the two Aston Martin DBRS9, of which Motul is technical 02 / Graff Racing (Corvette – 62 pts) th partner, admittedly didn’t win but achieved 5 place in race 03 / Callaway Compétition (Corvette – 58 pts) 2 with the duo Makowiecki-Rodrigues. 03 / Hexis AMR (Aston Martin – 56 pts) The regularity already seen at Silverstone a few weeks ago however means they have not totally fallen behind in the race to the title.
