LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Jose Rodelgo-Bueno, PhD

Dear Sabre Nation,

On behalf of the entire school community of St. Brendan High School, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for your contributions to the 2018-2019 Annual Fund. Last year, we fulfilled goals that would not have been possible without your support.

Every year brings new challenges. Hurricane Dorian brought devastation to many. As a school community, we collected funds and prayed for peace and safety for all those affected. I am proud of our students as they continue to grow in faith through love and action. It is through love and generosity that great things happen. This year’s theme is “Happening Here and Now.” Great things are happening throughout the world, in our daily lives, and here at St. Brendan High School. This year we remodeled our cafeteria and the kitchen, we bought new furniture and hired a management company. The students are enjoying delicious and healthy meals. We built a new drop-off/ pick-up area that will ensure the safety of our students. We also reached an important milestone when our football team played their very first game on campus under Friday Night lights! A new track and state-of-the-art baseball/softball fields have recently been completed.

I invite you all to be attentive this year to all the great things happening in your life and in your families. Christ is present in our daily lives, within ourselves and others. Your generosity has touched the hearts of our school community and will continue to do so for many years to come.

We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we will continue to keep you in ours. May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly. Sincerely yours in Christ,

LETTER FROM THE ALUMNI DIRECTOR Steve Piscitelli, MPA

Dear Alumni,

A special thanks to all the alumni who contributed to the 2018 - 2019 St. Brendan High School Annual Fund. Your willingness to give back to your alma mater is deeply appreciated. What we have accomplished over the last few years is simply amazing. It is wonderful to see so many alumni back on campus who have attended one of our new networking events or simply returned for a tour of the campus. Having alumni connect with one another is a great way to build our Sabre community. Beginning my 44th year teaching, I am so glad that I am still at St. Brendan High School during this time of transformation. When I see alumni enjoying our new facilities and expanding athletic program, I can’t help but smile and feel a sense of joy. St. Brendan High School will always be a home away from home to over 10,000 alumni.

The word is out that St. Brendan High School is now one of the truly premier private schools in Miami-Dade County. Sabre spirit has never been stronger and our school is now a showcase of spiritual, academic and athletic excellence. Help us continue this amazing journey by giving to the 2019 - 2020 Sabre Fund. I am confident that this year we can not only exceed our goal but also crush it! Your donation will truly make a difference.

Thank you for your continued support of St. Brendan High School and for being a part of something special. Go Sabres!

Warmest regards,

Steve Piscitelli, MPA Alumni Director Law & Global Business Academy Director 2018-2019 ANNUAL REPORT OF GIVING 25
