School of Law, under the able guidance of Dr. Venugopal B.S., Dean, is making fast strides in the horizon of legal education. It offers BALLB. (Hons.), BBALLB. (Hons.), LLM. & Ph.D. programs. Several PG Diplomas in the contemporary and interdisciplinary areas of learning & research are in pipeline. Ever since its inception School of Law has set up a sublime tradition of organizing meaningful & constructive academic programs in the pursuit of imparting quality legal education. Pragyaan: Journal of Law, a double blind peer reviewed journal published bi- annually by the School of Law is one more feather to its cap which bears testimony to the fact of its commitment for the cause of legal research. The academia which comprises a blend of highly qualified professionals & academicians is making every effort to perch this School of Law on a higher pedestal of academic learning & research. ABOUT THE THEME

Transgender people or individuals of any age or sex whose appearance, personal characteristics or behaviour differ from stereo types as to how men and women are “supposed” to be. Transgender people have existed in every culture, race & class since the dawn of society that nomenclature “transgender” is the invention of this modern world. In a landmark judgement, the Supreme Court categorically has laid down that “hijras” or transgender constitute “third gender” neither male nor female having their own valid entitlement for all human rights like all other human beings relieving them from their dilemma of what to mention in the gender column of any application i.e. whether male or female as they are neither male nor female. The Supreme Court has observed that the third gender cannot be discriminated against with respect to equal opportunities in education, employment and other spheres that their claim must be considered at par with male and female.

Manuscripts must be in single spacing, font size 12 in Times New Margin Roman and all margins: 1.5 inches (left) and 1 inch (top, right and bottom). Tables must be placed as part of the text. DO NOT attach tables at the Tables end of the manuscript. Manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word 2007 in the above Software format ONLY. Title Written in bold, size 14 and centered margin. Name, address, e-mail and contact number of all authors, size 12, in Author/s Times New Roman font format. Abstract Between 300-350 words, Times New Roman, size 12.

Keywords Should not contain more than FIVE keywords. Title/ Sub Written in bold, size 12 and left margin. Title

Tables/ Title of the tables/figure should be written on the top of the Figures tables/figure. Times New Roman, font 12, Bold and centered margin.

Footnoting should be done strictly according to Bluebook 19th Footnoting Edition, Times New Roman, Size 10, Line-Spacing 1.
