Cette chanson française si particulière que l'on aimait tant, à la fois tendre et engagée, semblait s'être éteinte. Je formule des vœux de bonne santé, d’épanouissement personnel mais aussi de solidarité dans une société trop souvent aux prises avec le rejet de l’autre, le repli sur soi. L’année 2016 aura été une année de crise pour notre communauté de communes. Le budget 2016 se clôturera sur un déficit de 3.6 millions d’euros. Une action en justice est en cours pour faux et usage de faux en raison de l’écriture d’une fausse délibération de bureau ayant fait passer une ligne de trésorerie de 600 000 à 2.8 millions d’euros. 2 millions d’impayés restent à honorer... Je mesure les inquiétudes et les interrogations de chacun d’entre vous. Le nouveau bureau et l’ensemble des élus communautaires oeuvrent pour résoudre ces graves difficultés, dans la plus totale transparence. Je m’y engage en leur nom. Dans ce contexte, nous sommes semblables à des pompiers chargés d’éteindre l’incendie. Déjà, de sérieuses économies de fonctionnement ont été entamées. Par ailleurs, une demande d’avance remboursable de 4.5 mil- lions d’euros a été demandée en conseil communautaire. Néanmoins, cette avance doit s’accompagner d’une réduction importante des dépenses de fonctionnement et au gel des investissements sur un an.

La diversité des 37 spectacles qui vous seront offerts cette année nécessaire pour mieux la savourer, en choisissant le moment opportun pour la parcourir… reflète l’identité bien particulière qu’a su développer et conserver la Passerelle. Cet agenda détaille, jour après jour, tout ce que notre Ville vous propose durant la période estivale, des marchés aux activités Psportives, en passant par les expositions, les animations culturelles et, bien entendu, les grands rendez-vous qui jalonnent ces mois de juillet et d’août. Un des événements de ce début de saison est l’ouverture, début juillet, du nouveau Casino Barrière, première des deux réalisations qui structurent le nouveau Cœur de Station du Cap d’Agde et qui participent à sa montée en gamme. Une ouverture qui sera suivie, au début de l’année 2019, de celle du Palais des Congrès. Cette saison estivale 2018 porte en elle le sceau de la nouveauté, avec, en ouverture, la première édition des Beach Games, événement sportif phare de l’été dans le Sud de la France, qui rassemble cinq disciplines qui se pratiquent les pieds dans le sable. Nous sommes aussi très fiers d’accueillir la Patrouille de France, qui donnera, le 19 juillet, un show aérien acrobatique « Nous sommes dont elle a le secret, une véritable démonstration du talent des pilotes de l’Armée de l’air française. Il sera par ailleurs question très fiers de rugby sur l’eau, une première, avec le Tournoi des 6 Stations qui fait étape dans notre ville.
