Each family will be receiving information on our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference dates. We encourage parents to schedule a conference if you have any questions, concerns or just want information regarding any of your students’ classes. A huge “thank you” to all the volunteers, community members, students, parents and Bobcat Boosters for all the work in hosting a great OX ROAST this year! We appreciate all the support that this event provides for our school community. I certainly have enjoyed meeting so many of you! We have so many wonderful things happening in our school community this month: • Zach Brannan, Chris Eberhart, Noah King and Patrick McHugh have been recognized by National Merit for their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT. • The Grandview Heights City School District has received the highest rating possible of “Excellent with Distinction”! We were the only Central Ohio district with a Performance Index Score above 108 and our value added measures indicated that a majority of our students gained significantly more than a year of academic growth in one year of time. October 7-11 is Homecoming 2013. Please refer to the Homecoming Section later in the Harbinger for details. We look forward to celebrating with our alumni, family and friends during this week. I am truly honored to serve as your principal at GHHS. If there is ever anything I can do to make your experience at Grandview Heights High School more successful, please contact me directly.
