Adoption of agenda AFET_OJ (2009)0901_01v03-00 The revised draft agenda was adopted in the form shown in these minutes. 2. Approval of minutes of the meetings of: 16 July 2009 PV – PE427.151v01-00 21 July 2009 PV – PE427.176v01-00 Decision: the minutes were approved. 3. Chairman’s announcements • the hearing of Commissioner-Designate Karel de GUCHT was taking place in parallel with the meeting; the Committee on Foreign Affairs was represented by Mr Fiorello Provera, 1st Vice-Chairperson and Ms Heidi Hautala, Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Human Rights, • the Chairman would have his first meeting with the High Representative for the CFSP, Javier SOLANA on Thursday, 3 September 2009 and would debrief the Enlarged Bureau at its next meeting, • the Chairman announced that he would be participating in the meeting of the PV\788923EN.doc PE427.984v01-00 EN United in diversity EN Conference of the Chairs of the EU Foreign Affairs Committees on Monday, 7 September 2009 in Gotland, organized by the Swedish Presidency. 4.
