St Clare's School Uniform Requirements

St Clare’s School Uniform Requirements ● Students at St Clare’s are expected to wear the correct uniform at all times except for exceptional circumstances (Refer to Uniform Policy). ● The school uniform applies to the arrival and departure to and from school. ● The St Clare's school uniform is custom designed and made, and supplied exclusively by local retailer, Iggulden's. It is expected that all uniform garments are purchased there for garment consistency. Given reasonable notice of 4-6 weeks, Iggulden's can organise special order custom made garments for students who are difficult to fit. ● Uniform fabric will not be available for purchase through any local retailers. ● All students will be expected to wear the following School Uniform Requirements from January 2018.

Academic Uniform To be worn every day except those days when the Sports Uniform is required.

GIRLS Collared, princess cut blouse with peaked waist. Black leather with black laces or Black Embroidered with St Clare’s School logo. jogger style with black laces or velcro or Navy mid length skort (Poly-viscose fabric) with Black mary-jane style shoe. skirt front and zip pocket. (Shoes must be fully black without coloured soles or stripes etc)

Plain white quarter crew only - Not folding.

No canvas or high top style shoes are permitted. No anklet or low cut sports socks, knee high socks or with logos are permitted.

BOYS Clothing Footwear Collared, button front shirt. Black leather shoes with black laces or Black Embroidered with St Clare’s School logo. jogger style shoe with black laces or velcro. Shirt is worn outside of shorts. (Shoes must be fully black without coloured soles Navy mid length shorts (Poly-viscose fabric). or stripes etc)

Plain white quarter crew socks only - Not folding.

No canvas or high top style shoes are

permitted.

socks or sock with logos are permitted.

Sport Uniform To be worn on PE Days, Sport Days and Sporting Carnivals (including District and Representative Sports Events).

GIRLS AND BOYS Clothing Footwear St Clare’s Polo Sport shirt and St Clare’s Sport short (Unisex cut). Jogger style sports shoe appropriate for sporting activities. Any colour.

Plain white quarter crew socks only - Not folding. These are the same as the Academic Uniform.

No canvas or high top style shoes are permitted. No anklet or low cut sports socks, knee high socks or socks with logos are permitted.

Winter Items: Plain NAVY jumper, zip style or navy pullover. NAVY track pants or black are permissible on cold mornings. The St Clare’s School logo is not required on these items.

Optional items: Please note: ● St Clare’s lycra run shorts for girls are only to be worn for Track and Field training before or after school or Track and Field competitions. ● Woomera and Cooby sports shirts are only to be worn at St Clare’s Sporting Carnivals or other advised events – these are screen printed by school volunteers each year.

School Hat To be worn at play times, PE lessons and all other sporting and/or outdoor activities and Sports Carnivals (including Representative and District Carnivals). There is a no hat, no play rule.

GIRLS AND BOYS St Clare’s School Reversible Bucket Hat with St Clare’s logo embroidered on one side and sporting team on the other.

Senior Shirt Uniform To be worn one to two days per week at the discretion of the Senior teacher.

GIRLS AND BOYS Footwear Clothing Jogger style sports shoe appropriate for sporting activities. Any colour. Senior shirts are to be decided upon by the Senior class with the approval of the Principal. Senior shirt designs must not contradict the Plain white quarter crew socks only - Not folding. These are the same mission of the school. Senior shirts are purchased through the school. as the Academic Uniform.

St Clare’s Sport short only. No canvas or high top style shoes are permitted. No anklet or low cut sports socks, knee high socks or socks with logos are permitted.

General Uniform Regulations

Free Dress Days Free dress days require sun-safe school appropriate clothing, including sleeved tops, closed in shoes, and appropriate length skirts/shorts/dresses.

Jewellery (Girls) The only items of jewellery for girls permitted by the school are: Costume jewellery is not permitted. Earrings: one pair of plain gold or silver sleepers or studs. Necklace: one small cross or crucifix on a gold/silver chain. Watches are acceptable. Wristbands are not to be worn unless the school is participating in special promotional activities.

Cosmetics (Girls and Boys) Cosmetics for example but not limited to, make-up, nail polish, etc is not acceptable and students will be asked to remove it.

Hair (Girls) • All student’s hair needs to be off the eyes. • Long/shoulder length hair needs to be tied back. • Hair bands/elastics/ribbons etc will be black, brown, blue or gold ONLY and will be kept to a minimum. No other hair accessories or adornments are permitted. • Extreme hair colours and/or extreme hairstyles (including tracks/shaved patterns) are not permitted.

Hair (Boys) • All student’s hair needs to be off the eyes. • Extreme hair colours and/or extreme hairstyles (including tracks/shaved patterns) are not permitted. All articles of clothing, hats and personal belongings should be clearly and permanently marked with the student’s name (not initials).
