DETAILS:

 MDA is currently seeking a Junior or Intermediate Engineer/MTS assigned to the Product Assurance (PA) department to action quality, safety and reliability tasks on aerospace, medical and nuclear programs.  These tasks include reviewing system level designs and performing system-level safety/reliability tasks such as fault tree analysis (FTA), failure mode analysis (FMEA), hazard analysis, reliability analysis, and life analysis.  PA is an independent engineering reporting organization within MDA. PA is involved in all aspects of the program, including support to proposals, customer and subcontractor contract negotiations, and through all phases of design, development, procurement, assembly, integration, test, qualification, delivery and operational support.  This job requires interaction with internal customers (including MDA program managers, engineering and manufacturing team), external customers (including their program and PA personnel) and various subcontractors and major suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. The successful candidate will have knowledge or interest in statistical reliability fundamentals such as parts count, parts stress reliability analysis, probability and life, Weibull analysis, Bayesian analysis, Poisson analysis, mean time between failure and fault tree analysis. In addition, candidates must also have experience or interest in performing safety and hazard analyses, including identification, elimination and control of hazards as well as generating Failure Mode Effects Analysis.

Strong computer skills including MS Office along with engineering tools is required.

Excellent verbal, written communication skills are essential to this position. All candidates must be able to obtain CGP and ITAR clearance.
