Peruse this 17th century building, a major Inca temple of Cusco, where the walls used to be lined with nearly 700 solid gold sheets, each weighing more than four pounds apiece. Cusco Cathedral is definitely worth a visit; enjoy exploring this Baroque-style building. Construction began in 1550, her building blocks come from the stones looted from the site of the hillside Santo Domingo Church Sacsayhuaman fortress, and she took a century to be fully built. You will be escorted back to Cusco City to check out four archaeological ruins, starting with the largest; Sacsayhuaman (Puma’s Head). Head up from the Plaza de Armas and you will be rewarded with the site of the 1536 battle when dozens of Pizarro’s men charged uphill to battle the Inca forces. Sacsayhuaman G.C. Nanda & Sons Ltd.
