Get Started with Hulu on your RCN TiVo box.

1 Two simple ways to access Hulu on your RCN TiVo when you have a Hulu subscription:

• Press the TiVo button on your remote. From the TiVo Central screen, select Find TV, Movies & RCN VOD > Hulu. • From your Program Guide, tune directly to channel 449 (749 in Lehigh Valley).

2 Logging In:

Logging in is simple. Make sure you have your Hulu account information handy.

If you are a Hulu Subscriber: • Select LOG IN. • Enter your email address. NOTE: You must use the onscreen keyboard to enter your information, including the key for capitals. THUMBS UP/ DOWN will not work. • Arrow  and press SELECT to enter your password. • Arrow to LOG IN and press SELECT. • You’ll only need to log in once. You’ll remain signed in to Hulu until you log out.

3 How to Watch: When you have a Hulu subscription and search for shows on your RCN TiVo box, your results will include shows available from Hulu. Or, you can search Hulu directly for any show. Here’s how:

• Press the TiVo button on your remote. From the TiVo Central screen, select Find TV, Movies & RCN VOD > Hulu. • From your Program Guide, tune directly to channel 449 (749 in Lehigh Valley).

Find a Show to Watch: • To watch a show from one of the displayed categories, simply select it. • To search for a show, select Search and enter the first few letters of a show title. Matching titles appear as you type. • When you find a something to watch, select it and choosePlay . • You can also choose to view other episodes, add the show to your list of favorites, remove the show from your list of favorites, rate the show, or change audio/video options.

4 Eligibility Requirements: You must have an eligible RCN TiVo box. You must also have an RCN High Speed Internet connection and a Hulu subscription.

5 Link your Hulu account to your RCN TiVo box:

The first time you launch Hulu you will be asked if you are a current Hulu subscriber.

Start Your Free Trial If you are new to Hulu, you will be offered a free trial. * Follow the onscreen prompts to sign up.

Log In If you are a Hulu subscriber, continue with the following steps: • Sign in on Device or Sign in Online • Enter your email address. NOTE: You must use the onscreen keyboard to enter your information, including the shift key for capitals. THUMBS UP/ DOWN will not work. • Arrow  and press SELECT to enter your password. • Arrow to LOG IN and press SELECT.

6 How to log out:

If you need to log out of your Hulu account on your RCN TiVo box, follow these steps.

• Open the Hulu app from TiVo Central or tune directly to channel 449 (749 in Lehigh Valley). • Using your remote, arrow to Account and press SELECT. • Using your remote, arrow to Log out from Hulu and press SELECT. • When prompted with Are you sure you want to logout ? highlight Log out of Hulu and press SELECT. This will take you back to the main login screen for Hulu. • To exit this screen, press the TiVo button on the remote.

Basic Troubleshooting

Difficulty Linking/Unlinking your Hulu Account to the RCN TiVo box

• If you are unable to login after you believe you have entered the correct username and password, try resetting your Hulu account password at hulu.com. • Trial or previously suspended Hulu accounts: If you are unable to unlink your account or do not have access to another Hulu account, visit help.hulu.com.

I do not see the Hulu icon on my RCN TiVo screen

If the Hulu icon doesn’t appear, or if it appears but doesn’t function, follow these troubleshooting steps: • Hulu requires a functioning network connection. To test a network connection: Six-Tuner (Pace/T6) and Premiere Series TiVo From TiVo Central > Settings & Messages > Settings > Network > View network diagnostics > Test Internet connection. From TiVo Central > Settings & Messages > Settings > Channels > My Video Providers and ensure there is a checkmark for Hulu.

• If your home network is not functioning, and you have verified the router and modem are plugged in, contact RCN 1.800.746.4726. • If your home network is functioning but you still can’t see the Hulu launch point, move to the next step. • Uncheck Hulu in My Video Providers. From TiVo Central > Settings & Messages > Settings > Channels > My Video Providers. • Power cycle all equipment: Power cycle your TiVo, router, modem, and any wireless network adapters you are using. • Check Hulu in My Video Providers to re-enable the app. Then try to launch Hulu again. • If you still can’t see the Hulu launch point contact RCN 1.800.746.4726.
