TimesTalks to Host Live Conversation with , and from the Academy Award nominated “

Special TimesTalks to Take Place Feb. 12 at The New School in

NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2015 – TimesTalks, ’s live, online and video conversations between Times journalists and today’s leading talents and thinkers, will host a live conversation with Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Laura Poitras, -winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, and government-surveillance Edward Snowden to discuss Ms. Poitras’s Academy Award-nominated “Citizenfour.”

“Citizenfour,” nominated this year for Best Documentary, follows the story of how Ms. Poitras, Mr. Greenwald and Mr. Snowden met and came together to bring Mr. Snowden’s findings on the ’s worldwide electronic surveillance program to light.

This TimesTalks will take place Thursday, Feb. 12, at The New School from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. E.T., and will be moderated by New York Times media columnist .

Ms. Poitras and Mr. Greenwald will join Mr. Carr on stage, and Mr. Snowden will participate in the TimesTalks via live video.
